Dr. Siegel and Laurelwood are hands down the best! My son has been a patient here for 13 years and we’ve always had a wonderful experience. We’re able to get in quickly when he’s sick, wait times are short, and the nurses are consistently friendly and caring. I was especially impressed with their new online booking and check-in system. Scheduling was incredibly easy. I loved being able to check in and pay the copay from my phone before arriving. We walked in, let the front desk know we checked in online, and sat down until his name was called. No paperwork at all. This would have been a game changer during the baby and toddler years. So thankful they’re offering this now. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about the doctors and nurses at Laurelwood. The new online check in system is NOT user friendly. Im sure it is saving someone money but it is awful to have a sick child who can not be seen because of faulty technology. The office staff are rude when you ask questions about the system. I am so sad that this technology is ruining a wonderful, historic practice in Memphis

I’ve had my child going to Dr. Hanson since she was born. While he is a great doctor, almost every time I have to call to schedule an appt or do so in person the ladies behind the desk have always been so rude. They do not have the correct attitude for working in a children’s doctor office. I’ve not had a single good experience with anyone from the front desk and for that I would not recommend this place to anyone and will be looking to change my daughter’s pediatricians soon. They need an attitude check immediately!

Dr. Hanson is kind and easygoing, but he did not provide adequate care when my two month old started having feeding issues. I came in three separate times over the course of a month because my baby was eating less, screaming crying when we tried to feed her, and steadily dropping weight percentiles (i.e., 25th to 7th in 4 weeks). Dr. Hanson told me that I should manage my own anxiety using meditation and essential oils. They continued weighing my baby with a wet diaper and clothes on, telling me "her weight looks great" (but comparing it to previous weigh-ins with no diaper/clothes). When he finally weighed her without clothing/diapers and realized how much her weight percentile dropped, he sent us home with a new formula that we couldn't get my baby to eat because she does not take bottles. I recently switched pediatricians. My new provider offered much more support, including several concrete solutions to start trying and weekly check-ins to monitor feeding/weight.

We love Laurelwood Pediatrics! Our family has been going to this practice for 12 years. Everyone there is always kind, extremely professional, and we have never had to wait more than a few minutes. We see Dr. Joel Siegel and he is amazing! Our kids love him. As parents, we feel that he hits the perfect balance. He is very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions, but he also always puts our minds at ease. He truly goes above and beyond for his patients. All of the doctors there are excellent. I can’t say enough good things about this practice and would highly recommend Laurelwood Pediatrics to Memphis families!
