Baptist Medical Group-River City Pediatrics

I guess this is my 4 kids new doctor since our old doctor is closed down. But I have not had the best experiences with the people at the front EVERYTIME I come.The first time I brought 2 of my children and they pulled the shot records for me within minutes, and I was very pleased! But as I was leaving I set up another appointment for my 3rd child and they said you will have to get her records. I explained that they easily pulled the other 2 and she was extremely confrontational and upset, then she went to talk to the manager and they easily pulled that holds shot records. Then today I try to get the 4th child an appointment and they say "we can not do that because we need her shot rrcord" I again explain that they can easily get it as they have 3 other times. The woman got angry and went to talk to the manager. Then the manager tells me that its against TN law to pull the record. She said call the state. So I call the health department and they said that the doctor can definitely pull the shot records but that they can send it to me online within 2-6 weeks. So I did that. But if they can pull it right away why would we wait a month or possibly more? Im not sure if its laziness or meaness but im not happy.

All three of my children are able to be seen by their provider. This is a good accommodation, given how hard it is to make it to appointments on time and well with three toddlers. During this particular visit my blood pressure was high and filling out multiple, routine ACES questionnaires and developmental milestone assessments with no efficient, effective or affective way to eradicate the troublesome issues they point to for all was troubling for me and did nothing to help my blood pressure. However, my children’s doctor gave the developmental milestone questionnaire (after I told her I was not filling out the paperwork) to two of my children while I took another to the restroom. I don’t know how accurate the results were, but it did provide me relief to take a walk and know that my children were being looked after by a responsible adult while going to the restroom. Also, for this facility to house pediatric care, they could use child appropriate upgrades to the restroom like step stools so they can reach the sink. I like the fact that they keep books and toys in the individual rooms; however, one should question whether these items are sanitized after each visit. The nurses look at you like you are crazy but know the basics of and how to do their job. I love the poster about food groups on the wall too.

Dr. Janet Geiger is the best doctor. We appreciate her attentiveness and care for our two children! River City is a great office!

Amazing staff. Dr. Geiger is so nice and so wonderful with my children. My daughter loved her. The lactation consultant is so great as well. They are all so friendly and take the time to listen to your concerns and talk with you. Would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Crewse is awesome and the staff is top notch. My three year old literally loves Dr. Crewse and looks forward to going to the office. Her thoughtful care and insightful recommendations are deeply appreciated.
