1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RateXYZ ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

RateXYZ is a business review and discovery platform that helps customers find and evaluate local businesses. The Platform provides business discovery, analytics, review tracking, and rating insights. RateXYZ integrates with Google (Google Business Profile) to provide business data and analytics features.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to create an account.

4. User Roles

Businesses may claim profiles, connect business accounts, track reviews, and manage their online presence. Customers may discover businesses, read reviews, compare ratings, and connect directly with businesses.

5. Business Account Connections

When you connect a Google Business Profile to RateXYZ:

  • You authorize RateXYZ to access the data described in our Privacy Policy through the respective platform's API.
  • You represent that you are the owner or authorized manager of the connected business account.
  • You may disconnect any connected account at any time from your profile settings, which will revoke our access.
  • You acknowledge that the availability and accuracy of third-party data depends on the respective platform's API and is subject to their terms of service.

Your use of RateXYZ in connection with third-party platforms is subject to their respective terms:

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. RateXYZ offers a free tier and optional premium plans for additional features. Subscription details and pricing are available on our pricing page.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for illegal activities or to promote illegal content
  • Manipulate rating metrics or misrepresent business statistics
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Circumvent the payment system or arrange off-platform payments to avoid fees
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Platform without express written authorization
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Use automated systems (bots) to access the Platform beyond authorized API usage
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
  • Use data obtained from the Platform's integrations with Google, Meta, or Google Business in violation of their respective developer policies

9. Intellectual Property

Content you create remains yours. By posting content on RateXYZ, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on and in connection with the Platform. RateXYZ's branding, design, code, and technology remain our exclusive property.

10. Limitation of Liability

RateXYZ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of business data retrieved from third-party APIs. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability is limited to fees you paid to RateXYZ in the prior 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RateXYZ harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination:

  • Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.
  • We will delete your personal data and revoke connected business tokens within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Your profile data and review history may be retained as necessary for platform integrity.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then through binding arbitration if not resolved within 30 days.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
