I had knee replacement surgery in November. After the surgery I was taken to recovery then taken to an observation area. My doctor said I should spend at least one night. That room was the size of a closet with no window. My husband had to move his chair for nurses to get in and out. Physical therapy came in and I asked for ice for my knee. They said it wasn’t necessary (?) I asked nurses for ice and never received it till the next day and then machine was broken and my husband had to fix it. Second day I was taken to a second room. At least it had a window. Finally got the next fixed. Third day I was transferred to a third room this time actually in Otho. Still no ice. Sunday I was sent home. I saw physical therapy 3 times, never was given a pitcher of water,, never given anything to brush my teeth or wash my face. Same sheet for 4 days. Sent home way before I should have been. Back in er on Wednesday. One nurse was nice enough to show my husband how to get to the cafeteria. I think this is inexcusable for a supposedly high rated hospital. Liked my doctor but will never go there willingly again

I just got home from Vanderbilt this afternoon…..I had to stay an extra night to stabilize my blood pressure. I wanted to share my experience at Vanderbilt Hospital. I was absolutely blown away at the care I received! Hands down one of the best experiences. Every single care partner, nurse, and doctor took the best care of me. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect to get that level of care (like I have not at other hospitals). I know some may not have similar experiences, but they have definitely upped their game.

My dad was sent here from our local hospital to monitor his brain bleed. Unfortunately he developed a subdural hematoma, that had to be evacuated via a crani. The team responded fast and performed the surgery. The 8th floor critical care trauma team did a excellent job. We had nothing short of amazing nurses, aides and doctors; however, my dad was not able to recover. When it was time to place my dad on comfort care, the team was there every step of they way. Not only did they make things easier on my dad, they did us as well. I will always be grateful for the teams knowledge, compassion and empathy!

Thank you to the wonderful physicians, surgeons, nurses, staff, and many others who made our experience at the Vanderbilt Transplant Center so positive. My mother received a kidney transplant at Vanderbilt Transplant & Surgical Care in January 2026, and from the very beginning, we knew she was in excellent hands. The medical team was patient, thorough, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. My mother, who is almost 70, had a smooth transplant experience and received truly exceptional care. The nursing care was so sincere, as well as the overall care on the transplant unit. Her husband, daughters, sisters, brother, loved ones, and friends, near and far, cannot thank you enough. Thank you to Dr. Dageforde and the entire team for your incredible work. Thank you, Vanderbilt!

I'm so happy I was transferred here to this wonderful hospital every one here has been amazing. The staff here has been taking great care of me from the Nurses in the emergency department to the hand surgeons to the wonderful nurses in the burn unit. My nurses Leah, Leah, Sophia and Breanna they have been exceptional in making sure my wound is clean and my pain is minimal and that my needs are met. I would also like to add the wonderful care partners that help take care of me Sarah and Kiera. They are very caring and kind. Thank you so much Ladies from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful treatment and kindness you have giving me during my stay. Today is my last day here 01/23/26. You all made me very comfortable during my stay and I appreciate all of your hard work and devotion. Please know I will keep you all in my prayers and my heart.
