As a dedicated caregiver, my primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being and safety of my patients. During my shift, I attempted to discuss a patient's room cleanliness with staff member BerNaisha, but she responded unprofessionally. I addressed the issue calmly, stating that her attitude was unwarranted. However, BerNaisha raised her voice, stating that it wasn't her job as she doesn't work in housekeeping. If she had allowed me to finish my question, she would have heard correctly that I never stated she was part of housekeeping. I was proceeding to ask her if she knew whether housekeeping had been contacted regarding my patient's arrival to her new room, which was not clean. Unfortunately, she continued to display unprofessional behavior. Other staff members noted that she often exhibits a certain attitude while working in a hospitality setting, where professionalism is expected. Given the importance of decorum in our profession, I informed her that I would report the incident. Her response was, 'I'll call my supervisor for you,' implying that this was not the first instance of her displaying unprofessional behavior. The enclosed pictures depict the room's dirty condition and the floors after I cleaned the patient room myself, highlighting the inadequate housekeeping. I question how patients can recover in such conditions. Despite my expectation to discuss this with the hospital supervisor and housekeeping supervisor, after being told by Kayla that someone would come speak with me and then informed by Courtney that someone would speak to me about the situation the next day, no one addressed the situation. Regrettably, Nurse Courtney and the orthopedic doctor appear to perceive me as the issue after I advocated for my patient and myself. The orthopedic doctor also mentioned relocating his patient, indirectly suggesting that I was the problem, which seems unreasonable given the challenges doctors face in seeing patients across different floors. Upon my return to work, several hospital employees approached me, referencing the incident and questioning me about it. Despite feeling attacked, as the owner of a private caregiving business, I will not be intimidated or bullied. It is my duty to ensure my patients are comfortable and in a clean environment to facilitate proper healing. Consistently, I have observed staff members neglecting their responsibilities, prioritizing social media over patient care, resulting in subpar patient care. I was informed after the fact that someone was going to come and clean the room; however, the room should have been clean when staff found out the patient would be moved to a new floor. In my opinion, this situation highlights a lack of accountability. I have witnessed call lights going unanswered for extended periods, necessitating my intervention. In the incident with BerNaisha, other employees witnessed the exchange and contradicted her attempts to shift blame. I possess documented evidence of the substandard conditions in which patients are being placed. I emphasize the importance of holding Ochsner Hospital's staff accountable for their actions. While the orthopedic doctor implied indirectly that I was the issue, I firmly believe that accountability and professionalism are crucial for providing quality care. I expect to be treated professionally without intimidation or bullying and hope we can work together to address the systemic issues compromising patient care.

All of my nurses and Personal Care Assistance demonstrated thorough knowledge of my care. I developed a strong rapport with Leslie Hertz, who consistently exhibited exceptional nursing expertise and leadership skills, particularly during my critical diagnosis, exceeding her responsibilities. I would highly consider returning to Ochsner Health care repeatedly. The service provided was outstanding.

I have been to this place several times in the last few years for my mom and my dad. Today 1/20/26 I am here with my dad. This place is special. You can “feel” this when you walk through this facility. These people are very well versed in what they do and in their manner in doing it. I will say that they are “next level”. It is clear why they are the best rated and ranked hospital in Louisiana. ❤️

The food court was excellent breakfast. And the medical imaging was a fast and very painless experience. I would recommend for that clinic again. The chapel is a good place to stop in as well. And I have included photos of my visit to it.

We received excellent care at the Ochsner Medical Center. My wife needed some test run and so we asked Ochsner Concierge to handle it. They called, promptly set the appointment and texted every thing we needed. The place is huge but the staff is extremely helpful in getting you where you need to be. A really quick and pleasant experience.
