Worst hospital to ever exist, if I could give zero stars I would. This hospital mixed me up with another patient, put me down in someone else’s account and never followed back up on the incident or apologized for the error. Complete HIPPA violation. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone. if they recommend you for a follow up appointment for Dr. Chaube, don’t even bother. You’ll be miss diagnosed.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. I experienced facial trauma from a fall at Lowes Covington, LA in October 2023. My jaw was broken and my chin was cracked all the way across the bottom of my lower teeth. I was also suffering from severe back spasms because my body bent over backwards like a scorpion when I fell. I was in severe pain. Initially I was taken by ambulance to Lakewood Hospital in Covington. Dr. Lawrence was the ER doctor there. After her initial examination she informed me that I required level 1 trauma treatment and that after consulting with LCMC Health Center in New Orleans, I should be transferred there. I was alone and did not know what to do so I followed her advice. Ambulance then took me across Lake Pontchartrain me LCMC Health Center in NOLA arriving at 11:30pm. Dr. Lensing, Oral Surgery team met with me an informed me surgery was needed and that the approach needed to be taken might cause significant blood loss and I should have donors available and left the room. After a time, I was informed that the surgical team was going to prep me for surgery. I was relieved to know something was going to be done that night to repair my injury. NOW THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS! Phase 1 - At approximately 4 a.m., Dr. Lensing returned and informed that I was not considered an emergency case and that I was to be treated as an outpatient and was being released and that he scheduled an 8 a.m. appointment with the OMSC to wire my jaw shut and surgery would be scheduled until sometime in the future. First off, released to where? I live over an hour away! Dr. Lensing stated I could sleep in a car or in a chair in the waiting area. Why no surgery? Dr. Lensing reemphasized I was not an emergency case and, as a result, could not be admitted to the trauma unit there at the hospital. But wasn't that the reason an ambulance took me from Lakewood to LCMC? Isn't that what the consult with Dr. Lawrence at Lakewood was about? No explanation was given regarding that matter. I begged Dr. Lensing not to release me to no avail. He was cold and uncaring towards me as he repeated that emergency care was not needed. I just cried. Fortunately the ER team stepped in and stated that, because of the pain issues, they could keep me till 8 a.m. and treat me for pain but that they were helpless in their ability to admit me to the hospital. Phase 2 of the nightmare - I was released from the ER which required me to walk to the outpatient clinic without LCMC assistance. Fortunately my fiance, who drove in from Beaumont, TX that morning, was able to scrounge up a wheelchair and he took me there where I was met by a doctor or intern who seemed to be in training who performed the procedure to wire my mouth shut. I was not put under general anesthesia, the normal practice. I received shots only as a local anesthesia. During the process, this person was very rough. I even had to stop him because he was splitting my lips which were not numb. The entire time he and the female assistant discussed being overlooked for a promotion opportunity. There was no apparent care about what I was going through. I was never asked if I was o.k. The whole thing felt barbaric. When his phase of the nightmare was over, this person (I refuse to call him a doctor) stated i need to keep wire cutters with me at all times so I could free my jaw in case I choked or vomited while wired shut. It was understood that he was going to provide me with the tool. But then he looked in the drawer and informed me that he was out and that I needed to buy some on the way home. The whole experience of being told I needed emergency treatment, being transported away from home only to be told I did NOT need emergency treatment and treated as an outpatient was horrible. I ultimately used a doctor outside the LCMC system, Dr. Saal in Houma, LA, who took proper care of me without a long wait or great loss of blood.

Horrible. My husband was drugged from a bar in New Orleans he was fine when I spoke with him and 45 min later he was OUT in his hotel room with our sons. I had to call hotel security to do a well check they called 911. The ER said he was just drunk no he wasn't because his lab run test of blood alcohol was normal. He was so bad I had to drive 5 hours to go get him and our sons from the hotel. On top of it all before I left I made sure the hospital had his TWO insurances and they haven't billed a claim with either one despite multiple calls. I don't know what is going on with this place but they are defunct and incapable of the most minor things anyone would expect.

I sat on the patio after ordering food from their on site restaurants. The drains on the dining patio suddenly became geysers, spraying brown liquid into the air, misting the tables and everyone sitting at them. At one point the geysers reached 3 feet high. Everything was covered in a spray of sewage. After moving away from the spray I threw away what I had ordered. I wish I had a better video, but I was too worried about contracting pink eye in that moment. This is unacceptable anywhere, but at a hospital this is wild.
