Just moved to Minneapolis in October and quickly learned where NOT to go in the event of a medical emergency. My girlfriend was in a head on collision due to an assumed drunk driver last night and taken to this hospital by ambulance. She was left in the waiting room upon arrival only to sit in a hallway bed for hours with great lack of attention and care. No imaging, labs, or time sensitive diagnostics were done. The physician claimed that he “sees this all of the time and it’s not worth the money or exposure to radiation because she probably just has whiplash”. A head and neck injury should never be dismissed by a “probably”, NEVER. As a nurse myself and an ICU nurse at that—I am appalled. Do better—or do the bare minimum at the least. The lack of care and attention is absolutely sickening.

Was told by the doctor something would cost between $200-$300 total as in before insurance helped pay for it. Got the bill and they charged over $600. Imagine charging DOUBLE what you tell patients you will charge. This place is horrible and they always charge extra fees they don't tell you about. Terrible shameful business dealing with sick people and lying to them about how much it will cost. Insane this is allowed.

Went in for what I thought was a dislocated shoulder, ended up being a pretty sick clavicle fracture. I didn’t wait for longer than 5 minutes before I was seen. The staff is very respectful and sweet as well. Just a couple things that threw me off. The lobby needs to be swept, everything wiped down with hot sanitizing water, HOURLY. and then mop when you can I assume it can be hard because it’s 24 hours and you don’t want anybody to slip but i almost turned around and left when I saw the state of the lobby but the woman I was talking to was respectful enough to make me stay. Another thing is there’s not really room for privacy when you walk in to talk to a doctor the door is openand the whole lobby is behind you able to see you and listen to you that is not comfortable so I was already uncomfortable with that then 2 other doctors (very sweet staff) were watching what my nurse was doing and listening to my answers so I just got uncomfortable because they didn’t introduce themselves nor say what they were doing but once they did it was cool. Overall very nice staff which makes up for the kind of dirty lobby and lack of privacy. Not as bad of a place as other people are making it out to be. They also made sure I completely understood what was happening and what the next step to take was and exactly how to do it

This was one of the hospitals where it’s a regular hospital, but I was put into the psych section. This happened with about two other hospitals and then I was also in a psych unit two times. I was only in a hospital that was a psych unit one time in my whole life and they bought my records 2 to 3 times. This hospital like I said as a physical hospital and they have a psych section and I was some reason wheeled into the psych section. I could walk, but for some reason these hospitals several times were putting me in a wheelchair in front of cameras and bringing me to the psych sections. So something was up because the fact that I only truly went to one psych unit, which I wasn’t supposed to either my dad was a part of that Just looks really sketchy. So anyway, this hospital told me on September 4 or the second or so that my records would be updated in two days. It’s been 32 days and nothing‘s been corrected. Also, once again it’s not everyone’s fault for this review, but I really think that hospitals need to reevaluate who they hired. It was a lot of corruption going on and this is not even scratching the surface of it.

The er was not the worst. The wait time was a little long but that is to be expected, the staff was nice. Once I got admitted to a room that’s when it went downhill, most staff very rude, in bad moods, did not want to do their job. They kept me there knowing they didn’t have the doctor needed to do my procedure so I was there for no reason basically. One nurse I had, Tony, was awesome. He made me feel comfortable and I appreciated him. They were also doing work right outside my room starting at 6:45am going until 3pm. Would press my call button and would have to wait 10+ minutes for someone to come check on me. Choose a different hospital if possible.
