Very uncompetitive billing department, not understanding well that I was there for, Anual visit and they coded as a pain visit and vacation... never met the real doctor and the np need a lot more university education.

I have been going here for a few years now. I’ve always had great care and the office staff has been great until recently. I went in for a check up and paid my copay. A week later I received a bill from them for my last office visit. I called my insurance company to see what the issue was and they informed me that the doctor’s office used the incorrect billing code. So I have now been calling them to only be able to leave a message that is if the voicemail box isn’t full.

I was seen by Dr. W. James, and I was blown away from his bedside manner and compassion. Usually if the patient is young w/o particular medical hx, they just gross over with barely doing any exams. But he listened to my concerns without judgement and have given me proper care. Front desk and all staffs involved with my care were wonderful and personable-- I found this establishment on a whim and honestly I'm quite pleased for my overall experience!

Update: I saw Dr Weldon G James last week and I so appreciated his empathy, patience and kindness during the visit. It really made my visit to Doctors Center special. I often see Dr Leo at the Cimarron Rd location. I love the office at this location; waiting for the doctor's appointment is as soothing and enjoyable as the doctor visit itself. As far as the waiting room, I love the lighting, the spaciousness, the quietness and the friendly, efficient staff (usually I speak with Sophie when I am checking in). I almost always have no waiting time to be processed by the nurses/assistants, that goes quickly, and then I always have a successful visit with the Dr, who listens to your issues, administers the right remedy or refers you to good specialists and before you know it, the visit is complete!

I arrived on time, showed ID and proof of insurance, filled out first-time paperwork and was seen promptly. A team member took my vitals and I gave a urine sample. The doctor introduced himself, answered some questions I had about his background and we discussed my treatment plan. All prescriptions were transferred to my chart and he gave me the referrals I needed. My check up took no more than ten minutes and I left with the answers I sought from the Doctor. I have the paperwork for my bloodwork next week and I'll follow-up with the Doctor next month to review the results of my blood tests. I would rate this visit as highly satisfactory and look forward to being treated here in the future. Thanks to the entire Staff at Doctors Center Southwest. Finally, one of the referral Doctors office staff called this morning. Less than 24 hours after my initial visit, I have an appointment for my first visit with an Orthopedic. And it's only a week away! That kind of service is rare these days...
