My husband and I recently lost our dog of 15years (who was also purchased from the Humane Society) but we were ready for a new companion. We were able to use the QR code to check in easily. When we qued up our guide showed us the many animals available (we already had one in mind). We met our puppy and were able to play and interact with her, the guide was able to give us a brief history. The paperwork was painless. We look forward to a lifetime of joy with Wynter.

We adopted our girl here. Although the wait was long it was clear the volunteers really loved the animals and they were clean and all seemed in good health. We also were able to schedule her rabies shot through the website as she was too young to recieve it when we adopted her. Overall a very nice set up with people who clearly care about the animals.

Hello I’ve adopted shortbread a couple of days ago, the process was lengthy but understandable everyone wants a furry companion especially in the holiday season. Everyone was nice to me at this facility even let me look at the dogs while I was waiting even though I wasn’t looking for a dog. I’ve chatted with few nice folks while waiting my turn. Melissa and her trainee were very patient with me considering I was nervous and have a hard time talking with folks. Furthermore I’d like to say shortbread is adjust very quickly and doing very well so far. I can tell she and I are going to be a great family in a loving home. Thank you for all you do for this community and the furry friends that need us!

The process to adopt has changed a lot since covid but it definitely helps- intentionally or otherwise- reduce the amount of impulse adoptions. If you want to adopt CHECK THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WEBSITE! We were there for ~4 hours for the whole process; kind of similar to the killing time/boredom of waiting at the airport. While we were there I saw 3 or 4 other pets get adopted which was so wonderful to see, especially with how full all the shelters are right now. Once our time slot came up, the process was pretty quick from meeting the kitty we were looking at to leaving with her. Thank you so much, WHS, for our sweet Erza (formerly Tiny) girl!

My wife began fostering here and she absolutely loves it! She gets to bring home babies and act like they are "her babies" for a little while! They are supportive and attentive and give you everything you need to take care of your foster! Our 1st foster was a failure because we adopted him and he's the best kitten ever! Love our Brian!
