My dog got hurt and Camp Bow Wow did not alert me or provide me with any information. Have boarded my dog here before with no issues. Used to get a pick up review about his eating habits and any events but did not receive one this last time. A few months ago I boarded my dog here for about 5 days. While away I checked the cameras multiple times each day and never saw my dog on the feed. I picked him up and noticed a large claw mark on his chest, his ear had scabs from what I assume are teeth, and his lip was raw. Looked like he got into a fight. Which I get some dogs don’t get along, but I was in no way notified or made aware that my dog was hurt. No contact that day nor during his stay. I called and asked for any notes they may have kept, and Camp Bow Wow said there were none on file. I asked why my dog was beat up and now won’t meet other dogs while my dog is on a leash as he now gets defensive. They had no information. I asked to speak to the manager. Never got a call back. If they always have someone present in the dog play areas, then someone saw what happened, and they did not contact me or inform me. If they don’t know what happened, then there was no person present. Either way there should have been camera footage. I’ve received nothing. No info. The main issue is my dog got hurt and I was in no way made aware and no effort was made to contact me. When I asked for info, none was given. And now my dog has a lasting issue being defensive around other dogs. I will not be boarding my dog here again.

BEWARE BEFORE YOU BOARD YOUR BABIES I am extremely disappointed with my recent boarding experience and feel it is important to warn other pet parents. I boarded my two dogs for only two nights (1/3/26 - 1/5/26). When I picked them up, I was given two baggies of food back—one for each dog—with food still inside. That should never happen. My dogs eat once per day, and any leftover food immediately raises serious concerns that they were either not fed or fed incorrectly. I addressed this with management immediately. I was initially given inconsistent explanations, and eventually told that staff “forgot to add water” to their food—despite the fact that water was clearly listed in my feeding instructions, which I confirmed the day before drop-off and again at check-in. The manager personally watched me break up supplements into the food during check-in, so there is no confusion about instructions. Both dogs receive digestive powder supplements, and one dog receives an additional joint supplement that was pre-mixed into her food at their request. Because the food was not prepared correctly, my dogs missed part of their required meals and supplements, which is unacceptable. My dogs cannot speak for themselves—it is my job to advocate for them. What makes this even more concerning: • I was told one of my dogs “didn’t finish her food,” which is simply not believable—she is a vacuum and eats anything and everything. • My other dog requires water in his food to prevent choking, which makes the “forgot water” explanation especially alarming. • I received no report card, feeding log, or documentation at checkout showing that my dogs were fed or how much they ate. • Follow-up communication was poor. I had to call days later to get any update. • The only resolution offered was free daycare days, which are useless to me because I live four hours away. I’m not local to Albuquerque nor visit very often. • A reasonable partial refund was requested, not a full refund, and that request has yet to be meaningfully addressed. I am attaching a photo showing four food bags—two empty and two with food still inside. This should not happen after a two-night stay. I am not claiming my dogs were neglected overall, but feeding is a basic, non-negotiable responsibility, and the lack of accountability, documentation, and concern afterward is deeply troubling. I expected far better communication and care from a facility entrusted with my dogs’ wellbeing. Pet parents deserve transparency, consistency, and proof—especially when it comes to something as essential as feeding.

Highly recommend for either day care or overnight boarding. Staff is super nice and cares about all of the dogs they take in. They have a "interview day" as well with your dog to make sure that they will fit in with the rest of the dogs at camp. We use them every year for Christmas when we travel, and have had nothing but good experiences with camp bow wow

My pup attended doggie daycare for the first time when I came to Albuquerque for a wedding. I was immediately put at ease by Jessica during his interview process. My pup attended daycare 3 days in a row, and had a great time playing with his new friends! The entire staff at Camp Bowwow is amazing! I also liked how easy the APP was to navigate and to be able to check on my pup throughout the day on the cameras. Thanks CampBowwow!!!

I have used Camp Bow Wow at different locations as I move around. The Albuquerque location is great, as others are. My dog Copper loves coming here since we moved here one month ago. The staff are great and Copper is happy and tired every day I pick him up after work.
