Walk-in Clinic - Halton Family Health Centre

I saw Dr. G. Grewal on Thursday and he did an excellent job diagnosing my medical problem. Within one second of looking at area, he knew exactly what it was, wrote it down on prescription which was a weak steroid dental paste 0.1 %. Applying this paste as directed, allowed me to brush my teeth in area of ulcer after 3 days. Today, 5 days later and it is completely healed. Also, staff person who took my information at front desk treated me with respect and was efficient in doing their job. I would recommend this walk in clinic which I have used numerous times over the years. My family doctor has an office area upstairs and helps to fill in at the walk in clinic on the main floor. This clinic allows me to drop in when my attempts to remedy a problem on my own are not working. Lastly, I asked Google Maps to edit name of this walk-in-clinic. According to my prescription it is different than what is see today, February 3rd 2026. Stephen F.

This walk-in deserves 0 stars. If you can, go anywhere but here do that. They have awful beside manner and zero communication skills. You have to constantly call just to follow up on your case and that’s if you even get through to anyone. This place should be shut down considering that they are absolutely useless. It took 5 months to get a resolution which ended with “oh we thought you went to your family doctor” and no actual action. Absurd!

Only giving a four star because of the wait time, that being said no matter where I would go at this time I would be waiting anyways. Staff are very nice and we're very patient with me. I was reading through reviews out of curiosity and noticed a lot of people are upset with a few things that should be expected with a walk-in. The staff close early just so they can get through their patients that are in rooms already, they work a long day I don't blame them for not taking anyone after a certain time. The place is not the cleanest, but it is a walk-in. I don't see many that are much cleaner this. If you are expecting a shorter wait, you should try to book with your family doctor and get a time that works best for you. I've never had a problem here with scripts but I don't visit very the walk-in often enough to have an accurate idea of whether or not they provide proper medication. It's not easy having to deal with sick and emotional people all day long, please try and remember this next time you visit any clinic.

I won’t comment on anyone’s behaviour — instead, I want to share my personal experience regarding the medical care we received. Dr Anagor, his clinical judgment and diagnostic approach felt extremely limited. While he may be suitable for very routine issues like a common cough or fever, anything beyond that, in my experience, was not handled with the attention or thoroughness we desperately needed. Over several months, both my father and I had multiple visits with him. Each time, I felt that no real diagnostic steps were taken. In my father’s case, we repeatedly expressed concern and asked for further tests, but we were consistently reassured that everything was fine and that it was just a simple infection. He was prescribed antibiotics several times, and we were sent home each visit feeling confused and unheard. After months of going in circles, we finally decided to seek a second opinion. Only then did we learn that my father had stage 4 cancer, requiring complete bladder removal. It’s heartbreaking to think how different things might have been had more thorough investigations been done earlier. Based on my experience, I would not recommend relying on him for anything beyond basic ailments. Please consider seeking a second opinion if you feel something is being overlooked. Ultimately, the choice is yours — but I sincerely wish someone had warned us sooner.

Dr. Hilda Moens was my doctor since I was in grade one until I was 22. She was my daughter’s doctor for 2years. That’s hard to find. I am fortunate I grew up in a prosperous epoch. I don’t know if I’d be the same person if she wasn’t my doctor. She wasn’t always in that building but she never moved far. I hope she’s teaching.
