Dr. Christal Garza is hands down the best primary care physician I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, professional, patient, and incredibly understanding. From the moment you walk into her office, you can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients and their overall well-being. I want to sincerely thank Dr. Christal Garza for addressing all of my medical concerns with such ease and professionalism. She takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and make sure you feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. Because of her support and guidance, I’ve finally been able to take care of several medical concerns that I had been putting off for a long time due to the stress and hassle of navigating healthcare. She has made procedures, referrals for physical therapy, and managing my health much smoother and far less stressful. Dr. Garza truly has her patients’ best interests at heart, and it shows in the way she practices medicine. I am very grateful to have her as my doctor and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and trustworthy primary care physician.

I had a very disappointing experience at this office and left feeling dismissed and unsupported. My primary concern was not addressed because it was not actively occurring at the time of the appointment. I was told I would need to return when it happens again, with no guidance provided in the meantime. For another concern, I received a general explanation that did not apply to my situation, followed by “I don’t know what that is.” A referral was placed, but there was little discussion or clarification. For ongoing back pain, the only recommendation discussed was ibuprofen, without any broader plan. When I later expressed concerns and requested a refund, the situation escalated to a manager. I was told the doctor could not really help me because I did not bring prior medical history, although I was never informed that outside records were required. My husband was present and spoke on my behalf while I was upset. The manager refused to acknowledge him, avoided eye contact, and rolled her eyes when he spoke. She cited HIPAA as the reason she would not speak to him, yet continued discussing my medical information openly in front of him in the same room. At that point, it was clear that a constructive conversation was no longer possible. Most concerning, the doctor’s notes were finalized after our discussion with the manager and included a six-week medication trial and follow-up plan that were never communicated during the appointment. That discrepancy is troubling. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I absolutely love Christal Garza. I’ve never experienced a more present, compassionate, and knowledgeable PCP. Village Medical on the other hand needs some work. On 3 occasions now my appointments have shown as virtual in the app, but were actually scheduled as in person. Now I have lost my ability to message my provider in the app due to being a “no show” even though I was calling them prior to my appointment to let them know my links were not working to check in and access my virtual waiting room. Esmeralda asked if I could send a screenshot of it showing in my end that I was scheduled for virtual appointment, but since I no longer have those privileges I cannot and she said I could not email them, so here you go Village Medical. It’s already incredibly difficult to reach anyone in the office, now it’s even more challenging due to an error on your end.

The staff and receptionist were so helpful and welcoming me with smiles, im ever so greatful they didn't turn me away, but ask to make sure my insurance was excepted there? so they went out of their way to findout and to make any corrections, made me feel very confident choosing you as my provider to take good care of me, and my needs when im sick.knowing I'm in good hands I feel I've made the right choice in you!
