I would say my overall experience here was a good one. The nurses were super sweet, friendly, and professional, honestly I adored them. One of them (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name, she had short curly grey hair) I could tell was trying hard to make me laugh and make sure I have a good time and I just really appreciated it. Laughter is really the best medicine! I will say I did not like my anesthesiologist that much though, and I wish there was a way for me to privately submit feedback with her or my name so it could maybe be addressed. She seemed cold, uncaring, and snarky. When she gave me paperwork to sign, I had stopped to read the potential risks just because I like being informed and she turned the page for me. I said "oh sorry, I was reading" and she continued to turn the page without saying anything and pointed out where to sign next, like me being informed about my procedure was unimportant, her time and schedule was more important. When I was recovering from anesthesia I kept stopping breathing, she was good at instructing me to breathe deeply when the monitor would beep because I was low on oxygen, but eventually she rolled her eyes and said "maybe being with your husband will help keep you awake". I was polite and just said "yeah I'm having a hard time with the anesthesia" (which I told them repeatedly I have a history of this), but I was really upset about her attitude. I told her beforehand it was going to be like this and it's not like I can help that my body is like this. I'm not intentionally trying to be difficult. It's just the way it is. I could honestly tell just with the paperwork that she was someone not in the medical profession to help people, she's here for the paycheck. I had a feeling that if anything was going to go wrong with my procedure, it would be on her end. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up making a serious mistake from her flippant attitude.

I recently underwent gallbladder removal performed by Dr. Christopher Bell. Following surgery, I was taken to the Adult PACU, where Deanna DeSousa was my primary nurse. From the moment I arrived, she attended to me with kindness, professionalism, and a reassuring smile every time she entered the room. While I was waking from anesthesia, I believed I was strong enough to walk to the restroom on my own. Unfortunately, I misjudged my condition and lost consciousness while in the restroom. Deanna was immediately behind me and, through what was clearly expert training and quick thinking, prevented me from falling and possibly sustaining further injury. Despite the fact that I am significantly larger than she is, she skillfully supported me, safely guiding me down onto the toilet seat using proper techniques and calm control. Throughout the incident, Deanna remained composed, caring, and deeply empathetic toward both me and my wife. She took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly and confidently, always with patience and a warm demeanor. Her knowledge, professionalism, and compassion were truly superb and made a frightening moment feel safe and manageable. Nurses like Deanna are an incredible asset to your hospital. If anyone undergoes surgery at Medical City Dallas, I sincerely hope they are fortunate enough to receive care from her. She represents the very best of patient-centered healthcare. Thank you for employing such outstanding professionals and for the excellent care I received during my stay.

I delivered my baby at Medical City Dallas on 02/22/26. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the nurses who took care of me. Krishauna in L&D was wonderful. Tabitha and Sunghee were on top of me in recovery making sure I was healing well and baby was in great shape. Krishauna helped make my delivery less stressful. I felt like I had a friend in the room with me. She was such a comfort. Tabitha took care of us at night. She made sure I knew everything about postpartum care. She also helped us take care of the baby her first night when she was fussing and upset. Sunghee made sure to examine me and made sure I ate to help supplement my healing. She’s the first nurse who has ever sat with me and gone through discharge paperwork and instructions with me. My only criticisms are for the maintenance of the room and the food quality. Housekeeping never came to our room to clean the trash cans out in the two days we were there. Between food take away containers and diapers for me and baby, the trash cans were filled within a day and a half. Every food outlet at Medical City Dallas leaves a lot to be desired. The food is tasteless and likely old. I’m grateful my mom was able to bring us food from the outside. We weren’t the only ones. Other dads and families were bringing food in as well. Fix your food and get on your housekeeping team. No one should be in a dirty room and not able to get a decent meal when you’re trying to heal.

When we arrived at the hospital where people are registered, we asked for an intrepete to be able to explain the reason for our visit and he told us that there were no staff available. then I tried to explain and since my English is not perfect, he attended us in a bad way he gave us the pass to enter with a doctor. when he turned around he said that it was not his fault that we did not speak English, which is illogical that throughout the hospital there are signs that they have interpreters to assist the patient.

I’ve been here several times before and each visit has been a good one. This time, though, I had to bring my son in for a broken arm, and the experience started off a little different. We ended up spending about six hours total, with four of those hours waiting to see a physician. To be fair, we did arrive right at shift change, which made things a bit hectic. Even with that delay, once the doctors came in, everything turned around. The physician was thorough, careful, and took the time to work with my son so he felt comfortable and cared for. That extra attention really made a difference. We were finally discharged a little after midnight, and despite the long wait, the clear communication and the genuine care from the staff left me with a positive impression. The compassion and professionalism at the end of the visit really outweighed the earlier delays. Definitely a place I can trust when it matters most.
