Village Medical at Walgreens - Old East Dallas

Booked an appointment WEEKS AGO just to be told on the DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT I can't be seen after a certain time because I'm a 'new patient'. Why would this information be withheld until the day of the appointment... Mind you I have been to village medical locations several times before so I am NOT a new patient to village medical... just haven't been seen at this location which shouldn't matter since all my information is in the system (which the customer service rep I spoke with told me as well). Seems like discrimination of being seen and that is not right. I will also be reporting this location to my insurance and anywhere else because that is unacceptable. No wonder all the previous locations I've been to have shut down. I tried to give them another chance since they already have my information on file This business/location does not operate ethically and wants patients to go WITHOUT their medication.

I had my annual checkup at Village Medical in June 2025 and want to share my experience: The checkup included a blood test, which should be part of their service and covered by my health insurance. Later, I received a separate bill from an outside lab asking me to pay for the blood test. When I called Village Medical, they told me that the lab bill is separate and not included in their charges. A few weeks later, I asked them to sign my wellness form for my employer’s insurance incentive. They refused, saying the physician who did my checkup no longer works there. I explained that they could simply confirm I had the checkup at their facility, but they still refused. When I tried to get billing information instead of the signed form, I was told they cannot email me anything and would only send it by mail. Over the phone, they said if I wanted details, I had to visit the center and check with the front desk. When I did, the staff was unprofessional and completely unhelpful. Overall, this has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. I will never return to this place.

I saw Dr. Frye at Village medical. She is a stellar physician. She has been my doctor for years and I followed her here. I was really impressed with Village Medical in general. The people at the clinic are helpful and friendly. It's a nice bright space, and everything about my visit was smooth and easy. Their cash pay prices are excellent too. Highly recommend.

Very professional, and well mannered staff. Friendly and family atmosphere. Called last minute to get an appointment and was seen within hours of making the call. Very satisfied with my provider and looking forward to my next appointment, thank you guys for welcoming me in.

Dr. Fry was amazing. She was professional and very knowledgeable in her field. She gave valuable feedback regarding my situation. She spent time with me and was considered to have excellent bedside manners. She was personable and relatable it was like she had been my provider for many years. I would highly recommend her. The staff was and is always very accommodating. This is one of the best clinics I’ve been to. Thanks, Alesa
