UofL Physicians – Primary Care

I used to see a fellow provider at Dr. Abayev's practice but when she moved out of state I went to see him. He did not address any of the main issues I came in for (prescription refills, referral for sleep study), and focused only on a digestive issue I was currently having. While reading my After Visit Summary I saw SO many discrepancies. He had put details about my heart and lungs, which he did NOT listen to, stated that I denied having nausea, which I definitely expressed having, and the notes said I'd complained of stomach and liver pain for over a week. No. I specifically said I'd had nausea for a couple days, accompanied by *some* pain that had already diminished. He ordered a bunch of expensive tests in case I had an ulcer. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TAKE MY TEMPERATURE. Further, he tried to tell me I don't have diabetes because of my last a1c results. That's because I've worked very hard to make major lifestyle changes but I still have diabetes! I could go on. As soon as I read my After Visit Summary, I immediately found a new PCP and I'm quite looking forward to meeting her.

Can’t recall just now how long I’ve been going at this time at least 12-14 years and until the Covid out breaks I have always been able to get appointments quickly for a broad range of needs,staff has always been friendly and respectful, and Dr. Abayev is always pleasant and informative towards my needs.

I will start by saying Dr. Abayev is an excellent Doctor. Always saw me when I needed even as an emergency. The reason why I had to leave it was, he wasn't in my Insurance network. I do recommend Dr. Nison Abayev !!! 🧑‍⚕️👍

I love this office!! The front desk staff, the nurses and Dr. Abayev!!! I have referred several people to his office. I can't imagine having a different doctor. Dr. Abayev truly cares for his patients, he is caring, he takes the time to listen to you, he makes sure to get the outside care with specialists you may need. I hope I NEVER have to choose a different doctor!!!

Been going here for awhile now. Dr. Abayev takes some getting used to but he is a nice guy. Kinda got to make sure you speak up about thing with him and that your very clear but all in all he is a good doc. All the staff is very nice in the back. Front desk is nice too. Usually get in within a week or so. I would recommend.
