Obviously this is a good pet store. However, I’ve made two visits to buy flea treatment for my cat and left both times empty handed. The reason for this is that they apparently have limited staff members who are able to “dispense” these items from the locked cabinets. So, if you are going to buy anything other than bog standard (less effective) treatments, call ahead to check they can actually sell them to you, or go to a store that is properly staffed.

I took my dachshund, Prince, to The Groom Room Selly Oak for their Valentine’s spa, and he absolutely loved it! When I picked him up, he was so happy, wagging his tail, smelling amazing, and his fur was beautiful and silky again. Meg and Angel did a fantastic job. They communicated everything so clearly and took such great care of him. When I arrived, they already had three dogs there, and I was so impressed with how well they multitasked while still giving me and Prince their full attention. They were both so bubbly, polite, and professional. I’ll definitely be going back! I also thought it was adorable that Prince’s photo will be going on their Valentine’s wall later today. As someone who loves keepsakes and memories, I think that’s such a lovely touch. Thank you so much, Meg and Angel — you were both amazing!

Booked grooming for my puppy. Worst ever. Firstly it’s too expensive and then they charge extra for clearing out the mats. And eventually they turn up and say we couldn’t clip out all the mats because we are not happy to do so, book an appointment with the vet to get it done and that’s additional 70quid. Honestly for a little Pomeranian?? The grooming staff is so rude. Taking money and scamming people.

Ive recently bought a small aquarium from here which ia very nice but the issue seems to be the fish. I bought 6 neon's first . Then after them I bought 6 black stripe tetra which all died within a couple of days. The neon's are still OK. Last week I purchased 6 mollys. In 4 days I've lost 3 mollys and 1 was pregnant and gave birth. The neon's are still OK. I'm not sure whoever supplies them with their fish is very reliable. Ive checked my water it's OK as is the temperature. As knowledgeable and helpful all the assistants were who work there i will no longer purchase my fish from there.

Staff are very helpful and it doesn’t feel like they’re trying to upsell you anything you don’t actually need. Don’t know what her name is but the girl with pink hair was particularly helpful when I was purchasing my beta fish Milo
