Saw the doctor on January 13, 2026 I had an x-ray of my ankle taken on January 13, 2026. I have yet to get the results those that answer the phone are not helpful at all. I have left several messages about this and I keep getting told that they don’t have them today I spoke with someone who called me about an appointment. I did not want to schedule and I asked him about the results and was told that it was my job to call x-ray associates so I did and they told me they had sent them on the 14th so I called Oak Street today. They say they’re taking messages but this has been going on for two weeks. No one has called me or returned my calls about the x-ray results. There was one woman who was doing a really good job of trying to help me. I was on the phone with her for 12 minutes while she was checking something phone call was disconnected. They don’t return calls when they get messages. They prescribe way more medication than you need and they take tests. I had never heard about before they received my medical records when I switched to Oak St., Health and yet the test they ordered most of them were duplicates of test I had taken the week before with my former primary physician

I have been there a few times to c NP Castro. Mixed feelings about her. Something is off when it comes to rx. She did labs. The vitamin D came back good cuz I have had a rx fora long time but she would not fill the once a week pills and said get them over the counter. How many pills does it take to get to 50000 units? Yea idk either. She did however put in a rx for 1000 units that cant b filled. Was to get a lot of referrals but only got half. Jump ahead to the rx she did fill. Now I need new ones 3 months later. I thought they would b sent over from pharmacy like always. I waited. Got notice from pharmacy that there's an issue to contact Dr. I called and they got the info and thought all's well it was not. After calling 3 times being reashured the rx would b put in. It was not. The pharmacy told me dates for when I was refilled but they didn't include the currant issue. oak st. Said that they were put in and filled. I even went to the insurance company to look. Nope not there either. Now I'm panicking because I am totally out one and have 2 of the other it's Friday of. 3 day weekend. I go into the clinic with all my notes and the front desk lady says that the Dr longley has placed the orders and he did. I have never seen him was told he has no openings. But he is listed on my insurance card as being my Dr. I then have an appointment with Castro shortly after all this. I ask for someone else. They say no probably not. I can't just change Drs. But they asked when I was gonna walk. O yeah sure enough. I could change to the other np. Had an apt with her and she was very good at discussing issues that I've had forever. Told me I needed surgery and that the gabapentin I was taking for it was now a scheduled drug and if I wanted. To continue it needed to sign a contract. Well that was a lie! It's not. And Dr longley had just put the rx in for me. Idk what's up there. Fishy fishy. That appt went ok except the lie lol. She wanted me to keep track of BP at home. Seemed surprised that I never had and did not have anything at home to do it. Said would give me one. Didn't. So came to the BP check in and she got me a machine. So other than getting a machine I shoulda already had it was a waste of time. I do get it that nm is hurting for Drs. I get that nm is scratching the bottom of the barrel. My father had an issue and he goes to different place that I am completely experience with. Well there was a couple ppl there who just were not up to the standard of care that I knew they had. So it's not just oak st. But come on. Id rather wait to see a competent professional than get in to see someone who didn't pay attention in class. And I still don't know y they want me on a contract except I'm a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who hates pain meds always my whole life. So idk what's up cuz unless it's broken or surgery I will never ever ask for pain meds and then I won't ask for refills. A PATIENT PORTAL!!! Get rid of the million ppl who answer phones and get a portal please. I think ur the only one who don't. It would make things so much more easier for everyone. Recommend?? Idk. Not if u have serious "old age issues". They don't even have the pt ppl there like they advertise. But the drivers are very good!

Dr. Tom Longley and his staff are superb both medically and how they relate to their patients. I never feel rushed and always feel that they truly have my best interests at heart.

My Doctor Thomas Longley, at Oak Street Health is very courteous and understanding of all my ailments. He has helped me accomplish the goals of my health, from my A1C being at 16+ and he has helped it to bring it down to 6.4 in the 4 years I've known him. My health was very bad, but now I consider myself fair, though I face other health issues, we continue to work together on getting myself back on track. Your staff always welcomes You with a smile, and very helpful in all they can do to provide Your health care needs on making appointments on time. Your Security Guard also helps to open the door for You. Never lose this team at Oak Street Health, Always recognize them for their hard work. Give them a bonus once in a while, always remember, It's not what You got, But what You give. BIG 5 THUMBS 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 UP.... Blessings. . .

Always friendly. From front desk to doctors and other staff. Wait is minimal if you have an appointment. Follow up and their promise to look into things is excellent. Christine Hanna is very knowledgeable and friendly. Having a scribe allows her to spend needed time and attention with her patients. I had a small emergency and couldn't get any answers on the phone-sigh, that link may need some work - but I popped in to Montano facility and they worked me in & fixed me up.
