Little Rock Family Practice Clinic

It my first time here but 2nd appointment with this new doctor. Most embarrassing experience I have had from a doctor office. My appt was at 745am. Due to a work emergency, I called at 7:40am and stated to the representative my name, appt time, reason for being late, and my new time of arrival would be 8:02 according to gps. I asked, do I need to come on and come or reschedule. The representative stated to come on and come and I will let the team know you are running behind. We disconnected the call. I’m checking in at the front desk at 8:02am. The representative checking me in says very loudly, ummm you have a pretty healthy balance of … that will need to be paid before we can see you. I asked what are the charges due to having insurance and haven’t seen a bill (not saying one wasn’t sent). The rep explained and I stated to just cancel the appointment. She then ask me can I pay half. I said not today. She said how much can you pay, I said $25 only because I did not come expecting to have to pay so much. She stated “let me check with the doctor to see if that is okay”. She came back with a loud voice while other patients are waiting that, unfortunately we cannot see you today without half of a payment, plus you’re already late. I did become upset inside, but did not act out nor raised my voice. One because she blasted me financial information. Two, I was told to come on after giving the time I would arrive, just to be told I’m late anyway as a reason to not see me. Three, to be denied medical attention from the current PCP because of a balance after insurance was unbelievable. No payment plan options was offered. I also feel like when I received a call confirming my appointment, maybe the financial piece should have been discussed then and all of the embarrassment could have been avoided and medical help could have been consulted in a different manner. I simply restated what I was told about coming on in to the appointment and I will figure out something else. I left the office. I’ll be looking for a different PCP with a better office staff. I will say the Dr was a very thorough doctor.

I’ve enjoyed going to this office for the last ~5 years. I am always able to get an appointment quickly, and rarely have a wait on the day of the appt. Dr. Hiegel is very kind, smart, and an overall great doctor!

I would give a 5 star review to Dr Jayroe. He is an excellent primary care physician. However due to the lack of empathy, patience, and all around rudeness from their administration team warranted the 1 star review. I’d strongly advise that you go to see a doctor somewhere else. Being able to see this great doctor is extremely overshadowed by those negative experiences with the administration staff.

I am impressed with the efficiency of this clinic as well as how thorough my PCP Dr. Moore is in examining me. I’m grateful he refilled my medications for mental health since the appointment with that provider was much later in the future. I also appreciated my conditions being explained in layman’s terms, leaving little need for any further questions. I would recommend anyone in the area that needs a PCP to schedule an appointment here. Thank you for providing me with above average healthcare!

So, even if you make payments on your bill, they will still send you to collections if you are not set up on THEIR payment plan. I do the right thing by paying on my bill every month but because I did not specifically set up a plan with their billing department, they threatened to send me to collections. This is not noted on the bills they send you. Trying to ruin someone's credit for THAT? Deceptive. I have seen 3 doctors there and none of them care. They see a young person and automatically space out. I told one I was depressed with SI and he told me to come back in 6 months to see how I feel and sent me off without a referral or medication or any form of treatment. I waited 40 minutes and paid a copay to see this dude for 5 minutes. The only redeeming thing about this place is the nurses, lab techs, and some of the other staff. They are understanding and kind. I will never ever come back here again.
