Not a great experience. First thing, only opt to “wait in-store” if you must—they have three plastic chairs, one side table, and a quiet tv. I went in after booking my online appointment (four tires and installation) with a quote set at $380 pre-tax, and when I arrived they immediately checked me in and quoted $670. Had to battle for a fair price right off the bat, trying to upsell me with their tires. Once that was squared away and I was quoted correctly, I get seated in the waiting “area.” 2 HOURS pass, it’s 4pm, and I asked for an update on my service. The associate checks and then says they had the incorrect tire size written down upon updating the quote, and they had just corrected it (I guess? because why had 2 hours passed with no update or tires put on?), so it would be another 30 minutes. Instead, another hour goes by, but my car is finally done. I get up to pay, and before just pulling out the cash I had in my wallet, I first ask, “Do you guys take cash?” The associate looks up at me, sighs, and says, “Yeah.. I wish we didn’t though.” .. ?? Seriously? Lol. What a thing to say to a customer that is clearly trying to pay with cash. I figured I’d inquire as to why not, and she flat out says, “I have to count it at the end of the night and that’s a lot of work.” .. Heaven forbid, right? I give her exact change as not to inconvenience her any more (🙄), and head out to my car. The CHERRY ON TOP of this sundae? Once I’m back in my vehicle and I’ve started it up, I look at my dash and realize.. they didn’t even reset my damn low tire pressure sensor. Don’t go here if you value your sanity or your money. It’s better spent elsewhere, ANYWHERE else.

Got a flat Friday after 5 pm, this location came in clutch and took me in that evening after everywhere else was closed. Flat couldn’t be patched, I ended up with 4 new tires (mine were already 4 years old) for a reasonable price by 2 pm Saturday. Everyone was helpful and communicative, were very friendly when I called in to get a time estimate (and their estimate was accurate and helpful). Shoutout to Katie, Megan, and Mason for your help!

We took our car to get a diagnostic so they had to take the right wheel off to access some cabling that was broken, first they would not tell us what was broken which was an easy fix (power steering cable) We did not get the service with them but only paid the diagnostic. A 50 dollar fix that I performed was going to be around 400 with them because they would not tell us what was the problem, also we drove 40 min to realize later that the Tech forgot 2 lug nuts on our right wheel which was the one he took off to access it, their manager said that was something unusual for him, I believe what is not usual for him it is to use the air impact wrench so hard we could not take one of the lug nuts off without borrowing an air impact wrench from somebody else. Also he missed to put back the panel retainers on that side of the wheel and when I told the manager that she said she did not spoke about that on the phone with a defensive attitude already since she knew I was altered by this already. To complete their great job they did not even gave us matching lug nuts for our wheel.

Long time customer, Recently put two new tires on the front of a sports car which I had the pleasure of returning with a flat tire two weeks later. I went in angry, expecting to leave angry because this was a Michelin tire and thus not covered By Firestone‘s warranty. However, Chris was able to match the price on the tire, bringing my total down $150 from almost 700. I had him request a warranty replacement from Michelin, which I’m not too sure will be possible, but the fact he was willing to listen to an angry customer like myself and make me at ease speaks volumes. Thank you to Chris and the team at the Firestone downtown on Truman in Kansas City, MO.

My recent experience at this Firestone location was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I had an unexpected flat tire in the morning and called ahead to inquire about availability. My calls were met with multiple long holds and even a hang-up, which was a terrible start. Upon arrival, the gentleman at the counter was polite, but unable to provide any estimated time for the repair, stating it 'could be a few hours.' After waiting a few hours, I called to check the status, only to be put on hold again and not receive any assistance. When I finally got through on another call, I was informed my tire wouldn't be fixed until almost closing time, around 7 PM. I explained that this was far too late and asked if they could simply put my spare on so I could leave the damaged tire overnight and pick it up the next day. Shockingly, they refused, stating they 'couldn't pull their tire guy away from what he was doing.' This left me with no option but to change the spare tire myself, in their parking lot, without any assistance from their staff. The lack of clear communication, the inability to provide even a rough time estimate, and the refusal to offer basic help like putting on a spare tire for a stranded customer demonstrates a severe lack of customer service and time management. This was a truly terrible experience.
