Autocraft Bodywerks

Autocraft Bodywerks is a great place to get your vehicle repaired especially if your insurance (i.e. Nationwide) partners with them. I had to get the front of my Audi SUV repaired and they did a great job with the actual repair work. Their customer service is really good too as they will try to get you any details that you request (Sarah & GM Daniel were very helpful). Only feedback I have was that I had to reach out on my own to the shop to get more timely updates as there were a lot of moving parts in my specific repair with insurance and parts. So I was having to call in more often to see what was happening with vehicle and figuring out next steps. They provided with me updates every time I called tho and they have a smaller team so patience is needed as they get fairly busy. They are partnered with many of the major brands so definitely recommend checking them out!

Wow! "Impressed" is an understatement. There are not enough stars to reflect just how pleased I am with this company. They have me updates pretty much weekly; they went above and beyond the most basic repair and paint. I will only go here if I ever need more work done. Can't recommend enough!

Daniel is an exceptional manager, and the team at Autocraft Bodywerks did phenomenal work on my Cybertruck. I was hit and rear-ended by a semi, yet they restored it to looking brand new. The black wrap they applied looks even better than before. Sara at the front desk kept me updated with excellent communication throughout the process. This shop is top-tier—fast, efficient, and truly professional.

Autocraft Bodywerks did an excellent job repairing the door to my BMW after someone backed into it in the HEB parking garage. The car looks good as new and you can not tell at all that the door had been previously damaged. I tried going to another collision shop that is closer to my home before I went here, but the experience was not good and so I decided to go on Google and look for a place with a lot of good ratings and found Autocraft Bodywerks. I happen to be an insurance adjuster, and I recognized right away that they were speaking my language. When I explained that the accident was not my fault and I had received a check from the other persons insurance company, they took the initiative and explained that they will contact the insurance company and work with them to resolve any cost differences (unfortunately the insurance company wanted to only pay for aftermarket parts, not "OEM" or Original Equipment Manufacturer aka actual parts from BMW, not some off brand) but luckily the price difference was just slightly over $100. Being an insurance adjuster myself, I did not expect the insurance company to just willingly pay what it actually costs to properly fix my vehicle, so I was not going to stress out over $100 (Autocraft Bodywerks explained that they do not use aftermarket parts, they use parts from the actual manufacturer of your vehicle). They also provided a rental car (Tesla) and I did not have to deal with any hassle regarding that, they handled everything with the other parties insurance. When I filled out the form at their shop, it was very straightforward and indicative that they were just getting my vehicle information and the information for the other parties insurance company so they could take it from there and handle the rest. When I picked my car up, it had been cleaned inside and out and I seriously could not tell that it had been damaged. the door closes the way it's supposed to and the window rolls up and down correctly without any errors. I highly recommend Autocraft Bodywerks if you need collision repair to your vehicle! If I had to have another collision repair, I would just go to them again without thinking about trying somewhere else (Hopefully I don't have to use them again, though.. No offense Autocraft Bodywerks!).

tl;dr If you're on the fence, USE AUTOCRAFT!! I had such a great experience with Edgar and the team, and I can say for sure that you will not be disappointed with the results. -- One month before my birthday, someone hit-and-ran into my parked car at a parking garage up in the Domain. Disappointment, to say the least, on top of my personal/work responsibilities piling up. I never had to take my car to the body shop before, and obviously, I was worried, since this was a car I bought just last year with money I saved up since graduating college. I searched for local body shops around Austin certified under my car make and saw Autocraft listed with great reviews. I was originally on the fence since my insurance company encouraged me to use their "preferred body shops," and I wanted to streamline the process and get my car fixed as soon as possible. I'm so glad I went with my choice because not only did Autocraft do such a spectacular job, but I also got to learn more about (how insidious) my insurance company (is)! The repairs did take more than a month, but it was thanks to my insurance doing everything in their power to cut costs despite me paying a premium. Autocraft really fought hard for me (the customer), but unfortunately, I ended up having to cover some of the costs. I will be sure to shop for other insurances when my term is up, but I know which body shop I will be staying with. Edgar is a very personable guy and was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. I especially appreciated how transparent he was because it is hard to find many businesses that are these days (especially for women in the automotive industry). When I came to pick up my car, he even took the time to help me reset my oil change light since the dealership forgot to do that when I went earlier this year. They returned the car in mint condition - car detailed and everything. They also helped me return my rental to Enterprise. In general, I had such a terrible past few weeks with everything going on, but the conclusion of this experience definitely made my month. While I hope I don't need to use a body shop in the future, this will definitely be my go-to and the shop I recommend to all friends & family in the area.
