Amend Healthcare

Love the experiences I have had at Amend. Dr Carrie is the absolute best! She explains the latest practice recommendations, gives you options for treatment but never makes you feel pressured to try something you aren’t comfortable or ready for and is just a genuinely kind person. I do not enjoy going to the doctor, but I do enjoy my visits at Amend. Great all around!!!

I have been to Dr. Hendricks and her team several times now and everyone there has been kind, compassionate, and genuine when addressing my concerns and health care goals. Never once have I felt rushed or judged. I would recommend Dr. Hendricks to anyone but I would especially recommend her to any women needing health care. She is incredibly compassionate and takes the extra time to offer support and ensure you are comfortable. The receptionist (sorry I forgot her name!) is kind and prompt, both the nurses I’ve interacted with explain everything they are doing and create a relaxed atmosphere, and I cannot praise Dr. Hendricks for her compassion and knowledge enough.

When I was told that the first appointment would be 90 minutes to ensure we had enough time, I admittedly didn't really believe it. What kind of doctor is even allowed to take that much time with a patient? I told my husband as I walked out the door that it was "scheduled for 90 minutes, but I'm sure I'll be back in like 45." Fast forward to 60 minutes into the appointment and Dr. Nelson and I were still knee deep in discussing all of my concerns and making a strategic plan moving forward (also literally, as knee pain was one of my problems!) Dr. Nelson was incredibly thorough in her evaluation---we discussed medical history, mental health, my experiences with postpartum physical pain, and the potential for underlying issues. Out of that discussion and medical exam, she came up with next step suggestions that were both helpful and realistic and treated me as a whole person who had input in the process. Office Administrator Kayla and Nurse Jessica were equally kind and professional, making the entire experience a great one. I am so glad I found Amend!

I switched from Sanford to Amend healthcare by word of mouth recommendation from a close friend. The care is truly relationship-based and I feel like they really took the time to get to know me as a patient in all the ways that counts! The office space is clean, warm, and inviting. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave every person you interact with is kind and focused on providing you an excellent experience. I feel heard and seen during every visit.

By far the most thorough medical visit I have experienced. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by reception, to my interactions with Nurse Jess, to my entire appointment with Dr. Hendricks I felt comfortable and safe. They took their time, really listened, and there was nothing about my experience that left me feeling rushed or as if I was "just a number". This experience was EXACTLY what I was looking for when seeking out a new primary care doctor. 10 out of 10 recommend.
