1ST VEGAS AUTO BODY SHOP

Update 12/8: Just found out 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop put sugar my fuel tank to deliberately destroy the engine. Unbelievable. They have already been fined by the DMV and had to get police involved but now just finding out they did this on top of all the other shady things. You can read the entire story below but it is quite a crazy story and now we find out they also put sugar in the gas tank. They never did anything to repair my vehicle nor even test drove it at all but instead did all these unbelievable things. It will be a shock it see if this business even remains open after we settle this with the insurance companies, the courts and the DMV. Original: Entrusted 1st vegas auto body shop due to the reviews to take my vehicle for insured repairs. They took 17 days just to take a first look at it. Even after inspection, these guys never answer the phone or have the phone disconnected. I have called them several times and have never been able to get anyone on the phone. Even after the inspection was notified that it was completed by my insurance company, these guys still don't answer the phone. Will be moving my vehicle elsewhere. Probably a good chance they damaged it even further, who knows. We will see when another shop inspects it again. Edit: Visited 1st vegas immediately after this review to collect my vehicle. They were extremely hostile and refused to release my vehicle. They charged a $250 restocking fee, then changed it to $726, and still would not even let me pay $726 to take my vehicle. I offered multiple times to pay whatever they want to take my vehicle, but they told me to leave the property and would not even let me pay any of their invoices. All that was supposed to be approved was an inspection for a Geico insurance claim. Instead, they never communicated anything with me, approved their own estimate for repairs, ordered parts and now refusing to release the vehicle at all. Filed a police report to hopefully get this resolved. Edit: 10/6 It took over 1 month for 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop to release my vehicle they were holding illegally. It required police intervention. It seems that they were taking a personal vendetta because I made this Google review. They refused to accept any payments to release the vehicle and tried charging me over $3000 to release the vehicle when they did no work on it. The police came and they lowered the amount to $1,200 for which they also cannot provide an invoice for. They told me they only accept "MoneyGram", so the police waited at the shop while I went to go collect their ransom fees. When I go to a MoneyGram location, they called 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop, and Kristina said "No not MoneyGram, Money Check". Kristina had meant Cashier's Check and had us driving around to collect her payment. The $1,200 Cashier's Check was marked as fraud with our bank as soon as we made it, and was written on the check "payment made under duress/protest" 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop also refuses to give me any copy of the invoice nor receipt after multiple requests. I had told the police that they can leave, even though they offered to stay. As it would take me over 2 hours to go to the bank to make the cashier's check and inform my bank of the fraud. We gave Kristina the $1,200 cashier's check and she STILL refused to hand over the keys to my vehicle. We called the police again, as they told me to call them back if I had problems with 1st Vegas again. We called and waited outside for 10 minutes, and that is when one of the employees decided to come out and hand us the keys. Crazy how anyone could experience anything like this. We will also be taking 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop to court for damages and in addition, they returned the vehicle disassembled with possibly missing pieces and additional damage. In addition, their shoddy inspection missed several large problems with the vehicle that were found immediately with another body shop.

This shop is a rip off. They are very overpriced and charged $3000 to my insurance for a storage fee when they were the ones that was taking forever to look at the car to see what the estimate would be my car was drivable if I would’ve known, they were gonna charge all that we would not left the car there overnight crazy when I asked him for a cash price they gave me the same amount that they gave my insurance $10,000 Never again don’t go there. They took forever on purpose just so they could book the storage fee to my insurance. They don’t get any stars, but I had to pick one star just to post

I’m so happy to say that 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop is the absolute best! They don’t cut corners at all. They replaced my 4Runner with original parts, and their manager personally showed me all the repairs, making it lt brand new again. It was ready when they said it would be, and I can’t recommend them enough. They’re way better than the last insurance company recommended shop. A lot of insurance companies cut corners because of the price, but not here! I’m so glad I was recommended to 1st Vegas Auto Body Shop!
