I have had the opportunity to work with Zack Lind across multiple HOA communities, and he has been excellent every time. Zack has a strong understanding of the unique insurance needs that associations face and does a great job explaining coverages such as general liability, directors & officers (D&O), and crime/fidelity insurance in a way that boards can easily understand. He is always responsive, professional, and proactive in making sure the communities have the proper coverage in place to protect both the association and its board members. I came to Robins Insurance for guidance in protecting my business and was very clear from the start about what we did and didn’t do. Despite notifying them that we no longer manufactured or installed products, they continued to categorize us that way for over two years. During that time, our professional liability (E&O) coverage—the most critical policy we needed—was dropped. According to their notes, this was done at my request, which I have no recollection of making, and certainly not without their guidance. As a design professional I can’t understand how they would recommend against having a professional liability policy and we would have never chosen to take on this exposure without coverage. When I raised concerns during renewal, I was met with vague responses, delays, and a disrespectful phone call from a representative who spoke over me and seemed more focused on pushing me through their renewal process for policies that didn’t provide the coverage we needed, and some that were more than what we needed, than addressing my questions. Even in the past, basic tasks like issuing COIs were slow and unreliable, often delaying my ability to sign contracts with my clients in a timely and professional manor. Robins Insurance completely dropped the ball on maintaining proper coverage and failed to provide the level of service I expect from a company entrusted with protecting my business. I cannot recommend them.
