Riverside Drive Animal Care Center, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner

I've been to a few vets in Columbus due to moving around, and Riverside is by far my favorite. While they are a little on the pricier side, I know I'm getting high quality vet care from them. They are extremely kind & knowledgeable. I'm a high risk person for COVID, and they have no problem wearing a mask around me & my pet. That is HUGE, as so many healthcare professionals won't do it. I've called with concerns and they've taken their time to provide me information and recommendations, and even eased my anxiety. We've had x-rays, vaccines, routine exams, blood work, and more there and every time they've all taken such great care of my babies. You can tell everyone there adores animals and does all they can to help out. I highly recommend this place for your fur babies! Update- Dr. Dune & the whole staff are great! We're so thankful for Dr. McGuffin & Riverside Animal Care Center. They care for our cats, Alvin & Batman (& we're certainly regulars!). Dr. McGuffin saved Alvin's life when he suffered a spinal injury with urinary issues. Dr. McGuffin accurately diagnosed & carried out a successful treatment plan that kept Alvin safe with his preexisting heart disease. A long road, but Alvin is now almost completely recovered. We began bringing in Batman (my ESA) with kidney disease, GI issues, & is another puzzle. Dr. McGuffin is extremely knowledgeable & quickly identifies issues. He takes the time to thoroughly explain, educate & work with us to plan for Batman & Alvin's care. He also really cares about them. We've had positive experiences with RACC staff. They're always prompt, helpful & compassionate in response to my (many!) questions. Scheduling is very convenient. Prices are reasonable (being on a fixed income, having pets with medical conditions is especially financially difficult). It is also emotionally difficult (Batman & Alvin are literally my family), but my mind is more at ease & I feel confident knowing they are under Dr. McGuffin's/RACC's care. My only regret is that we didn't find them sooner! TLDR: Awesome.

Riverside drive is an amazing practice!!! Dr. Torchia has been amazing helping me with my three pets with GI problems. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, the technicians, receptionists and all of the other doctors are amazing as well and truly care about the patients!

I’ve been coming to Riverside since 2020, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and cared for. The entire staff is kind, patient, and makes you feel like you and your animals genuinely matter. Dr. McGuffin and his team are incredible. I never have to question whether they are doing what is best for me and my babies. That kind of trust and peace of mind means everything. They always take the time to answer my questions and explain things thoroughly. I have never once felt rushed. I always feel heard. When I lost my sweet Dexter in 2024, they showed a level of compassion and care that I will never forget. During one of the hardest moments of my life, they were gentle, supportive, and truly present. That meant more to me than I can put into words. I am so grateful for this office and this team. They are worth the 45 minute drive every single time. Riverside is something special, and I trust them completely with my babies.

Riverside Animal Care Center is by far the best veterinarian clinic I have ever been to, and I’m a senior citizen, having had many dogs. I’m always amazed how smoothly and with such courtesy and friendliness, they run their center. The doctor is so knowledgeable and willing to share it with you. When your pet is being examined or treated, you never have the sense of being rushed. Your pet is the only one that matters. Such an amazing care center. My Teddy deserves the best!
