Firstly, I just want to say that this shelter is among the best I’ve ever experienced! Being a no-kill shelter already puts it at the top in my eyes and heart, but what really stood out was the professionalism and kindness of everyone working there. I came in with a specific dog in mind, and the staff immediately took the time to explain his behavior, personality, and any concerns so I knew exactly what to expect. He was already neutered and vaccinated, which is a huge plus for any adopter. On top of that, they were incredibly generous—they sent us home with dry and wet dog food, a leash, collar, harness, and even let him take his dog bed! You could truly tell how much they care about the animals. Everyone was genuinely excited to see him going to his new forever home. Now Crouton is thriving in his new life! He’s already made lots of friends, loves meeting new people, and has even become the new “Office Dog” at Sage at Ingleside Apartments. He loves car rides, hasn’t torn up a single thing, and still enjoys his favorite Churu treats (along with plenty of Beggin’ Bacon treats!). Thanks to Pet Helpers, both Crouton and I are incredibly happy. I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking to adopt a new best friend.

They are so sweet and care deeply about finding good homes for all their animals. They are also dedicated to finding the right fit for your lifestyle too and help you transition your additional new family member to their new home as smoothly as possible. Even just to foster is a huge help and Pet Helpers help with so many free services, including medical services, when you do so. Be prepared to be patient though, with long wait times as they are high in demand of so many different services needed at once but you are still a priority.

We adopted Summy (who we changed to Sumi!) from here in November. We mostly adopted him because we thought a friend for our previous adoption (Junie) here would benefit her, and it did! They are getting along fast (though Junie is sassy/bossy/dramatic as always). The staff was very helpful with answering me and my friend's questions as we are very new to cats especially introducing them, and staff were super friendly! Sumi is doing great in his new home and is just a crazy ball of energy! Sumi is the cat with the gray/black spots for reference.

Great atmosphere. All the animals up for adoption look well taken care of. The kitten rooms had a great selection of well mannered kittens to choose from. The adoption process was quick and easy. Adopted my sweet and curious little Kiwi (she went by Cedar) and she's LOVING all the space and freedom in our home. She makes us laugh all the time with her antics and the snuggles are sublime. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a companion. You'll get all the time you need to spend in each room to pick your special fur baby.

We adopted our girl Junie here, shes making herself at home! She's the most sweet and loveable girl and a great addition to her family. The staff was great at helping us pick the right cat for us. Pet Helpers itself is also a very well kept and taken care of facility and the cats have plenty of room to play. Highly recommend adopting from here. The adoption process was fast, comprehensive, and affordable. They always have new deals going on to help with the cost of adoption. They also completely prepared us for our new fur baby. We love our girl.
