Howling Peaks

Our dogs seemed to enjoy it here, but unfortunately the business lacks any sort of flexibility when dealing with their customers. Being in the medical field and in the military, sometimes things come up last minute and plans change so we rely on flexibility / understanding. Last summer we arranged boarding for our dogs. Plans changed due to work, and had to cancel our boarding plans. Even with a few days notice, they didn’t care. Took our deposit without question. I decided not to make a big deal about the situation though. Another similar incident occurred, I wasn’t able to drop off our dogs off due to work. Attempted to call in the morning but couldn’t get through. You are required to sign up and pre authorize pay for doggie daycare, and apparently they have no refund policy within 24 hours of the date. Sometimes things change within that 24 hours. They attempted to charge us full price for a full day of daycare for 2 dogs. Tried to explain the situation, and was met with resistance. They initially said they would not charge us for the missed day, then decided to charge us after the fact without notice. Ended up submitted a complaint though the BBB. Unlike other business that provide services, they don’t charge a late fee/ no show fee, they instead charge customers full price even for services not rendered. It comes across as unethical business practice. We were told not to come back after I expressed my frustration. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a place that isn’t out for your money, and offers flexibility (for military members , medical field, etc ) this place is not it.

We adopted Hank in December. A sweet and loving rescue. After 3 weeks he became very reactive to new people and dogs. I was afraid we would never be able to welcome guests in our home. After 2 training sessions with Holly we have a whole new dog! Her knowledge and experience with dog behaviors has been invaluable.

I appreciated the staff and the tour they gave me. I did a temperment test with 2 of my puppies. There was a little bit of a mix up and that made me a bit frustrated but other than that it was overall a good experience. They took care of my dogs and I felt ok leaving them in someone else's care.

The absolute best dog daycare and boarding around! My pups always have the best time here. They are sound asleep as soon as we get to the car from all their playtime and activities. Love to have the peace of mind that when I leave my pups here they are very well taken care of. Love what Howling Peaks offers, they really care here ❤️
