Garage Door Doctor

It’s been a long time since I can remember a more pleasant customer service experience as the one that happened to me today. We had just bought our house and we learned pretty quickly that the existing garage door opener was old and neglected. After searching online for a reputable garage door company in the area and perusing reviews, I chose Garage Door Doctor, mostly due to their 5 star reviews. They were able to send someone out the same day of my call and after I met Jared and his son Carson I knew that I had made the right decision. We talked about “stuff” before our conversation turned to my opener problem and it was like old home week on the farm!! They were so cool and very professional in explaining to me what needed to be done and what didn’t. I left them to it and around an hour later it was like Harry Potter garage door magic!!! They then covered everything they did and walked me through the ins and outs of my new system. They were wonderful people and great at what they do. Sometimes you just get lucky enough to touch shoulders with someone as they share your path , no matter how brief, and that’s how Jared and Carson made feel…. professionally and personally!

GDD is a great company to work with. They took care of my family in 2019 and today. My garage door spring broke last night and they replaced both my springs and cables. Their service from start to finish was above and beyond for us. Their administrator or secretary I spoke with was kind and provided multiple appointment options to help accommodate our last minute situation. She was extremely kind and sensitive to our predicament. She sent Tyler over for assessment and repair. Tyler was very professional, patient, and kind. He provided ranges of quotes for us and explained the processes and the rationales. He was knowledgeable, expeditious, and made sure that everything worked appropriately and that we were happy before he left. I highly recommend Garage Door Doctor.

I had a wonderful experience with the garage door doctor. They were able to schedule me same day, as well as do my repairs the same day. Matt the technician is very professional, well spoken, and does a great job at giving options rather than telling you this is how its going to be and this is the price. 10/10 recommendations from me, and i will definitely be a returning customer if/when I need it.

From the initial phone call to the day of our appointment service and the people were great! We needed to replace our garage spring. Justin was super nice and very quick and efficient in his services. The pricing was way better than anticipated as well

Updated Review 10/7/25: I am changing my review from 1 star to 5. We finally were able to get in touch with a manager named Brian, and he was able to help us out and make it right. He apologized for the inconvenience and refunded our money. I guess we should’ve never had to pay in the first place to get this issue resolved, but it’s really refreshing to encounter a manager that will own mistakes and make them right. Thanks Brian! Original Review: I had a terrible experience with Garage Door Doctor. About two years after installing our brand new garage door, the spring broke. Unfortunately, it was just outside the one-year warranty. They offered us a $23 discount and a $50 coupon that everyone gets, which was disappointing. We hardly use our garage door, so I expected better quality. The new technician showed us how to grease the door to prolong the life of the new springs, but the original technician should have done that. When you spend $2500 on a new garage door, you shouldn't have to spend another $500 on it just over two years later. Either the craftsmanship or the parts (or both) are faulty. The only positive aspect was the new technician, who was very nice and even offered to get me a drink from a gas station on his way over both times he visited.
