Colby's Dogcare and Spa

I had the joy of meeting the staff and touring the facility at Colby's yesterday for my pup's assessment to enjoy future stays and visits. From the start, you feel welcome and you know that the staff and the entire team really care about each and every dog. I especially want to thank Autumn, Katarina, Kai, and Marc for their help and support. In addition to the great team at Colby's, the facility is extremely organized, clean, and designed in a way to ensure each dog has a great experience during the day and during overnight stays. When I picked up my pup, he had clearly had a great time, was tired from all of the fun playtime he had, and felt loved every minute he was there. We will definitely be visiting Colby's again soon!

Colby’s Dog Care and Spa is hands down the best dog care in the DC area. Every single time I bring my dog in, she’s treated with so much care and attention, and it’s clear how much the staff genuinely love what they do. I always feel totally confident leaving her there. Today was a great example of why I love this place so much! Colby’s not only takes wonderful care of my dog, but Andrew and Ellie also took the extra steps to help me out in the cold today, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. It really says a lot about the people who work here. The entire team is consistently warm, patient, and attentive, and I truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pet. I’m so grateful to have found Colby’s.

I love Colby’s! They always take such good care of my dog. Today, I accidentally scheduled a shampoo and bath for my dog when I meant to schedule a haircut. When I realized my mistake, I let Andrew know. He told me haircuts were booked through March but he would do his best to make it happen. He kept my expectations realistic but ensured me he’d do his best to work with the groomer and meet my request. Not only did Maurice, the groomer, make time for a trim, but he did an excellent job. Kat was very kind at checkout and the entire team made me feel like they had my dogs best interest and truly care about customer service.

Truly a Lifesaver — World-Class Care for Our Frenchie! Colby’s Dogcare and Spa is an absolute lifesaver. Just a few days before our long-planned international trip, our French Bulldog injured himself and was put on strict bed rest by his vet—no playing, no walks, no stairs, and a very rigid medication regimen. We genuinely feared we would have to cancel our trip. When I called Colby’s to cancel Iroh’s stay, Andrew and the team immediately reassured us that they could take excellent care of him. Even though we were nervous about leaving our precious pup, Andrew’s calm confidence and compassion put us at ease. At drop-off, the team was wonderful. They carefully reviewed all of Iroh’s care instructions and medication schedule and made sure they understood every detail. While we were abroad, our return flight to the U.S. was unexpectedly delayed, and our Frenchie needed to stay an extra night. Once again, Colby’s accommodated our special request without hesitation and made the situation completely stress-free. When we picked up our Frenchie, it was immediately clear he had received world-class care. The team treated him like one of their own—keeping him comfortable and calm, giving him plenty of snuggles, and providing thoughtful updates along the way. Andrew and the entire team at Colby’s are truly wonderful and exactly who we needed during a difficult situation. We can’t wait to bring Iroh back to play with the team (and the other dogs!) once he’s fully recovered. Highly, highly recommend.

Colby’s is absolutely amazing. We have been taking our dog here for daycare for several months now. Quinn is a rescue with separation anxiety, but the staff at Colby’s has always been understanding and kind. They understand she needs some extra time to warm up. I think daycare has also helped with her anxiety and gives her the chance to socialize with dogs which she always loves! I really like that they have play rooms by dog size, Quinn typically likes dogs her size or smaller to play with, but they have also given her a chance to explore different rooms to see where her best fit is. The facilities are clean and I like that I can see where Quinn will be during the day. I am always impressed with the staff, they all seem skilled and knowledgeable about dogs which makes me feel great about having Quinn in their care throughout the day. I highly recommend for anyone who needs consistent daycare for their dog. We originally started with a membership but our schedules frequently shift so we typically schedule as needed which usually works out just fine. The memberships are a great option if you need a consistent schedule throughout the month. I have tried several different daycares in the area and Colby’s is by far the best in terms of price, staff, and everything they offer!
