[Severely overdue]UPDATE: They’re open and in business. Just a roof leak issue. Though, we are sad to hear Dr. Beer has retired — through we wish him well! Cheers to a happy retirement! Arrived to my appointment to see that Care Pet Clinic has abruptly closed without warning “until further notice.” I received an appointment reminder on Monday for today’s appointment (Wednesday). Imagine my surprise to arrive to their doors locked. No call or email to notify me that I’ll need to find a new Vet and to save me the trip. I feel bad that this is what prompted me to write a review because I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Beer. Dr. Beer has been caring for our Husky, Dexter, since he was a pup and has done an excellent job helping us navigate the occasional health challenge for Dex, who is now 14. I hope this is temporary, but as of now there’s no telling.

We used to have good experiences here. Dr. Beer was great and felt like the prices were affordable. However, something has definitely changed recently and it is impossible to get anyone to follow up regarding care, test results, appointment requests, etc. We had a cat experiencing some very concerning symptoms and it took months of repeated calls to try to get tests scheduled. To the point where we made an appointment for an ultrasound via a friend without the help of Care Pet at all. The illness was ultimately not treatable but the extra weeks of delay could have definitely been detrimental if it had been something curable. We called asking for their opinion on euthanasia at this point and we never received a response to our voicemail. We had to keep calling back until we eventually got someone on the phone to get their opinion. The entire experience left us feeling like they didn't care about our dying pet. Recently we've tried to schedule appointments for new pets in the home and reception never returns voicemails or messages on their website. We've moved onto another vet office at this time.

As the next owner of my dog Sophie I decided to establish care at this office as the previous owners took her here and were very happy with the care provided. On 8/29 I found the staff friendly and Dr Lemu very nice. I wanted a wellness exam as she is getting older, an anal glad expression if needed, & a Leptospirosis vaccine. As that is a 2 part vaccine I was told to bring her in 9/19 for the second shot. I was surprised & disappointed to be charged a $29.50 Office call & a $20.00 Exam fee for this 2nd vaccine -the second $17.55 shot became $67.00. I was told at the reception desk those charges are applied for every visit. There was no exam, I was simply asked how she was by Dr Lemu. I was hopeful to have found a practice where I could feel confident In Sophie's care but I don't think it will be Care Pet Clinic

The team here has always been great! From giving a towel to use when my cat had an accident in his carrier, to answering all my questions about our shelter pup Lollipup Chainsaw, I've never had a wait for a room longer than 10 minutes because I showed up slightly early. I also loved that they expressed condolences when our previous dog Kozmo passed and automatically canceled all future appointments for him. It was so nice that I didn't have to worry about that while dealing with the emotional aftermath.

Easy scheduling. Great care. Attentive staff. Responsive to questions in and out of appointments. Fair and reasonable rates. I wouldn't consider taking my cat anywhere else for primary veterinary care. They have been especially helpful with all of the additional care and testing my cat has needed after her hyperthyroid diagnosis.

Dr. Beer is not just a vet, he is an animal whisperer. We love him and his staff so much. He is so kind and compassionate when it comes to our pets. We have been taking all of our pets to him for years. His staff has become like family to our pets. They love them all so much. I can’t say enough good things about their practice. A lot of people know him from his care of ferrets. Our ferrets love him and have seen him for years but he also has gone out of his way to take care of our dogs. We had an old senior Pomeranian with CHF. I honestly believe that he gave us almost an extra year with our boy. He is really an angel and I can’t express my appreciation enough.
