Amica Mutual Insurance Company

I went with Amica but regretted it shortly after. They kept me on the phone when switching policies for over 1.5hrs with what felt like an interrogation. Mind you, I have never had a claim in either car or home. After signing up, they then wanted to send someone out with full access to all of my home INCLUDING inside. I dont like strangers in my home especially these days and was willing to send in pictures of the specific areas. I dont even have a furnace! That wasnt good enough for them. They wanted video recordings on an app with full access to every room. I felt this was a violation of my privacy! Then for auto, they said I could download an app that tracks my driving. What?! I havent had an accident in 30years but that wasnt good enough. ITS GETTING TOO INVASIVE.They left me feeling that I will HAPPILY pay more to go with another company and give them my business. Its AMICA loosing....not me. I would suggest avoiding this company all together! Not worth the headaches or invasion of privacy.

it appears that the staff at Amica preferes to take their personal aggressions out on customers. Enough. Five years of loyalty. Not a claim. Yet they were quick to send me to COLLECTIONS within 14 days for an invoice not even 30 days old as I was separating myself from this company due to excessive pricing. But Collections people!? All within not even 30 days! Needless to say, whether I owed it or not, I paid. And with all ill-will to go with it. Go elsewhere because this was scary.

Litters at state parks just to advertise their business- both illegal and immoral. 🤢 Found yesterday at Dinosaur State Park, have submitted a report with state park services and to their local govt offices. Update: over a month later replying claiming it to be unintentionally discarded as if it wasn’t multiple business cards placed face up only on trail benches. No accident there, AND no accountability here!

As soon as I turned 55 years old, Amica life insurance sent me a notice that they are not going to renew my policy without a reasonable explanation, I had the policy with them for 25 years and I was in a quarterly auto pay with them and never missed a payment. Amica really uses some unfair business practices.

I was convinced by Amicas aggressive telemarketing mail, to get a quote on their website, so I did get a competitive quote on their website, but their website prompted me to call their customer service to finalize the process, after got on the phone with one of their sale representatives he stated that he is not able to see "what I entered on their website" even after I gave him the confirmation number, so I give him the information for all of my five vehicles again. After I was on the phone for one hour with Amicas salesperson he gave me a quote that was double that what their website quoted me, and he suggested that I should call another insurance company which I am not going to name here, because they are cheaper then Amica. So, there is a huge disconnection between Amicas website and their salespeople and misleading.
