Aetna

This is the WORST company I have EVER had to deal with! All I want is a routine eye exam - I'm supposed to have coverage via Aetna Medicare - Warby Parker doesn't take this - called for help, got a foreign call center - left on hold 3 times - sent me to another person - I'm in CT and they sent me ONE place on LONG ISLAND that uses Aetna! Tried to reach Hartford HQ, but I was put into another call center!!! I can't IMAGINE being ill and needing this company for help!!! Thank God I have time to DUMP them and switch to a new carrier! I'm SURE the CEO is making MILLIONS while this is how they treat customers!!! SHAME ON Aetna!!!!

Awful greedy corporation. I am fully qualified for a surgery, have all the documentation and doctors’ notes, but they denied me because they said it’s not medically necessary based on the size of the body part weight (don’t want to put exact details for privacy, something like the weight of the heart or lung). Nowhere did any of my insurance or any other policies say ANYTHING about how that body part weight is relevant. My doctor and her office are all extremely confused how that happened and how they can resolve. And the insurance will not explain it any further, like how does the body part weight matter or how it’s relevant in any way. They are literally denying patients the care they need solely for profit. I am sick and tired of medical care being for-profit in this country. Disgusting and manipulative!

Dirty company with no morals or shame. Will be seeking litigation! Need a spinal fusion due to fractured spine and degenerative discs. They claim it is not medically necessary due to not finishing physical therapy.

Aetna is a cutthroat dirty insurance company; they should be ashamed for how they block necessary procedures! My poor 70-year old Mother had a kid crash into her knee on a bicycle. Her knee is torn and clearly requires surgery, and her Doctor is recommending this, but heartless, illogical Aetna is mandating 6 weeks of physical therapy. The physical therapist is even perplexed by this; she can't even do PT in her current state! It is evil to force my mother to suffer unnecessarily...and this cold-blooded company may still not authorize the specific procedure she needs! It is in God's hands how the involved Aetna employees will be dealt with for this. Aetna represents the worst of the American health care system, and that is saying A LOT.

Aetna mis-populated my ssn with someone else's name for an individual withdrawing a medical pension in the amount of $45,973. The Special Investigations Unit and eleven other reps took full accountability but would not provide me with a letter indicating such to submit to the IRS. I am now accountable for the penalties.
