AAA West Hartford

Absolutely awful with no respect for customers and safety. Our membership is through this office but we were stuck in another area of CT and the region constantly changes for the same place with no contact. We had a botched flat tire repair by an AAA mechanic and then we were stranded waiting 7 hours for a tow truck due to their mistake. We had 4 young kids and an elderly woman and took a Lyft home due to something they should have fixed properly hours ago . My husband had to wait in an empty parking lot till he finally got a Lyft and come home during an ice storm in really dangerous conditions 7 hours later. We were on the phone hours and hours during the event and after. Two months later and there is no reimbursement, any attempts to make anything right, or concern for customer satisfaction. We've been a member for over ten years and barely had to use a tow truck, but now we will need to find an alternative and cancel our membership.

AAA double charged me for a service and has failed to correct their own billing mistake. I provided documentation proving the duplicate charge, yet more than two months later, they are still refusing to refund me. The customer service process has been exhausting, dismissive, and ineffective. I should not have to fight this hard to get my money back when the error is clearly on their end. This experience has completely undermined my trust in AAA. If you value accurate billing and responsive customer service, be cautious.

Went in to get a license duplicate.Because I lost mine was taken care of by a lady her name was Nancy. She was very helpful and offered me some different options for my AAA membership.

My family has been AAA members since 2016. Today, Dec 26, 2025, I visited the West Hartford store for Notary services for notarizing 3 documents at 3:30 pm EST. I had called in advance and confirmed availability of notary services at the location. The staff was highly unprofessional in their dealing. They not only refused to notarize, but even to look at the documents and to understand what we were looking for. I was told to go to the town office and get the documents notarized there as they also provide the notary services. They mentioned that the website has details of what kind of documents they notarize but refused to share any details and were highly disrespectful. The similar documents were notarized by the Avon CT office for my spouse and the experience was really pleasant. There was no-one available today in Avon and I made the wrong decision to come to the West Hartford office today. I seriously wonder why anyone visits your store considering the way I was treated.

I’m here to provide feedback: customer service is subpar and misleading if you’re there for DMV services. The retail associate I had today for my license renewal was more interested in selling me AAA service than for my license renewal. She neglected to inform me of all DMV fees until the end of the entire transaction. After convincing me to purchase the AAA membership she made me pay $26.00 for late DMV fees. She didn’t tell me that on top of the other fees that I would have to pay $96.00 for my license renewal!!! I was livid. Next time I’ll go straight to the DMV. Please train your staff to get straight to the point and make your sales with some integrity.
