The location is beautiful. We stayed in February 2026 and booked a standard king room. Paid $450 per night so we were expecting something special. The room was about what you'd get at a Hilton/Marriot. The TV was old and didn't offer streaming services (only cable). The bathroom was dated. Only one chair. Also, our room was directly over the lobby. This means that we heard the lobby music in our room all day and in to the early evening (and then starting again early morning by 6). Also, both Friday and Saturday night they had functions (I think they were snowball dances) and the music didn't quit until 11, so we were stuck lying in bed waiting for that to quit. They had a comedian the first night, but we were told it was $20 to attend, which seems crazy considering what we paid for the room. Brunch on Sunday was fantastic, so it was good to leave on a high note. Overall, the hotel was insanely overpriced (especially for the time of year). Considering the low occupancy at the hotel, they should have never put us in such a loud room either. Will not be going back.

Everything about our stay was disappointing. We planned to have a spa day, but the “amenities” they listed like sauna and hot tub are not part of the spa. They are just the general pool area of the hotel, nowhere near the spa. Incidently they were packed with kids (great for romantic Valentine’s weekend). We tried to book a couple’s massage, but the woman at the spa desk insisted they didn’t offer them. When we got to our seperate massages, they were in couple’s rooms. Made no sense. The spa staff we’re not helpful at all. We booked their prix fixe Valentine’s dinner in their “Fine Dining” restaurant. We were seated at a table that still had the previous people’s dirty plates and glasses on it. Took 15 mins to clear and set the table with us at it! It took about 45 mins between each course. Yes, it was busy, but plenty of staff standing around looking lost and confused. All of the food was overcooked and cold. Every table near us had issues. Sending back food and drinks. People were missing silverware, getting the wrong orders, etc. complete hot mess all around. Our waitress tried to charge us for the meal we had prepaid for, then got rude as we tried to explain. In all, the staff couldn’t care less, even at the front desk. We spent just under $1k for one night, dinner (no drinks included) and two massages. Complete waste of money and a romantic getaway. Save your money and go elsewhere!

I recently spent two nights here and my room and view were amazing. Because of the snow, I had to eat both nights in the hotel but was happy to do so because of the staff. The food is just okay but the outstanding service makes up for it. Diego, Julie, and Nick behind the bar work together so cohesively it’s awesome. Then the service from Zee and Serena was so personable and lovely, they really made my nights. I got a massage in the spa from Nicole and wish I could take her back to Florida with me, she was that good! Can’t wait to come back and visit in the summer!

We had the most wonderful stay at the River House at Waters Edge Spa. The house itself was spotlessly clean, absolutely gorgeous, and so cosy — it instantly felt like a home away from home. It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed, making our stay effortless and really comfortable. Having access to the spa was such a treat and really elevated the whole experience. The spa had a lovely, intimate and cosy feel, with two saunas, a cold plunge pool, a swimming pool, and three hot tubs, all immaculately maintained. It felt peaceful, relaxing, and never overcrowded — the perfect place to unwind. Overall, the stay was fantastic value for money considering the quality of the accommodation and spa facilities. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway 🌿✨

Wonderful experience. Beautiful destination for a weekend retreat, date weekend or whatever. Awesome in house spa. My wife & I went to their New Year's Eve event & had a great time. Went with 2 other couples & sat a a table for 10 with 2 other couples. Fun time had by all. Amazing food & service. Rooms are a bit dated, but that's the worst of it. Highly recommend.
