Perfect Haircut for my son. My son was in a bit of a mood today and Saif made him feel comfortable giving him a great experience. Does a very detailed fade. Highly recommended and will always return.

Fantastic service. Great haircut. Very professional and welcoming business. It was my first visit but not my last. I arrived close to closing time. Instead of turning me away or rushing the cut, the barber made me feel welcome, took his role in the cut to ensure I was happy. Can’t say enough good things about this business.

I had a fantastic experience at the salon with Karina! She truly listened to what I wanted and gave me a root retouch and blow out spectacular. I felt completely comfortable throughout the appointment. I’ll definitely be returning soon. Unfortunately my experience at this salon was extremely upsetting, leaving my hair very choppy to the point where I wanted to cry. Walking in, the salon was empty. There was one lady (black hair with tattooed eyebrows, lip fillers, lots of ear piercings and arm tattoos, I didn’t get her name) who greeted me and called someone over. The owner came out and explained that she will be cutting my hair, however she is new and does not speak English very well but apparently does a good job. In the past, I’ve had great haircuts despite there being a language barrier so this wasn’t an issue for me. She directed me to the wash chair, to which I asked if it was extra but the owner insisted it was free, which I thought was nice. The wash was fine, I liked the products they used as it left my hair soft and shiny, but the final result of the haircut and how my concerns were handled is where there were issues. She performed the layering with scissors which I actually prefer (because razoring typically leaves me with split ends) so I had high hopes. She was pretty quick, though seemed like she was paying close attention so I was excited to see the final result. When she was done cutting my hair, she began drying it with a round brush. However she only did the very front of my hair, so the back remained wet and straight which I thought was odd; their lighting made it kind of hard to see the back, so I ended up going to the bathroom, applying water, and using my phone to get a better look. I actually liked the shape, it was in the “U” curve I had originally asked for, but the blending was not done very well and just by gathering my hair forward you can tell it was very choppy. After a few minutes of making sure I wasn’t tripping I came out and explained to the owner that my hair looked choppy and asked if there was any way they could blend it more. He translated what I said to the lady who cut my hair, but all they ended up doing was run their fingers through my hair and all the owner had to say was “This is normal. Your hair is fine.” I repeated how the layering looked choppy, but all he did was shrug and did not offer a resolution. The lady was already preoccupied with a new client and I didn’t want to cause a scene or make her feel embarrassed given there were a bunch of people waiting and watching our interaction so I just ended up paying and left. It was $50.79 and I did not tip. I understand that the model in the reference picture had her hair styled/blown out, but as I’ve mentioned earlier, I’ve had long, U-shaped layers in the past so I know what it’s supposed to look like straight/without styling. For simple cuts and/or if you speak their language, I think the price is a decent deal because they include a free wash (which is why I’m giving 2 stars). However I was not satisfied with my experience and I will not be returning. Immediately after, in a panic, I ended up going to Ana hair, owned and operated solely by a Korean lady named Ana right across the street from Trendy. She did such an AMAZING job with correcting the previous lady’s work. It was a little bit pricier, but I’m always happy to pay for experience and quality work. She was quick, but very attentive to my concerns and the results were everything I had initially hoped for. I would highly recommend going to her instead for anything layer related. **RESPONSE TO OWNER** I’m shocked by your unprofessional, false accusation of racism. I didn’t make any inappropriate comments. I won’t apologize for something I didn’t do. As I previously and CLEARLY wrote, I raised my concerns TWICE in the salon, but they were dismissed. I also declined the extra blowout, yet the stylist only styled the front of my hair, leaving the back straight and wet. This made no sense and added to my dissatisfaction. The way you described this exchange was inaccurate. My review was an honest account of my experience, including how I resolved the issue after leaving. I didn’t even receive an apology as a bare minimum. Bringing this review down to one star because this is actually crazy. 🤦🏻‍♀️
