I should begin by saying that I visited last year and had a delightful experience. I went again yesterday and was flabbergasted at the way I was spoken to by a woman I assume was the manager on duty. I went to the desk to check in for my appointment and no one could find it. I showed my email confirmation and then the manager (?) was brought over. She asked when I had made my reservation (two friends who were meeting me there had made reservations at the same time), and said there was no way that should have happened because they were over capacity. Even so, my friends' reservations were found. She repeatedly said that somehow she'd "make it work" but said over and over that we "wouldn't get lounge chairs" and our lockers would be separate. I felt that I was being lectured even though the fault was the company's and website's. I thanked them for making it work and sat down at a chair. The woman then marched out from the back a few minutes later saying loudly, "You CANCELED your reservation via text yesterday " and proceeded to show me a full-page color printout of a text exchange in which the number 2 was pressed to cancel. I explained calmly that I did not receive any texts and confirmed via email. I showed her my text messages (including the deleted folder) with no texts from the spa. She countered that SOMEONE must have canceled using my phone because my friends' reservations were confirmed just fine. I asked that perhaps because the system had apparently made all our reservations incorrectly due to the spa being over capacity that maybe it had texted the wrong number. She went on berating me and saying, "Just make sure you don't hit 2 next time so your appointment doesn't get canceled." She said again how she'd "make it work" for today but it was still my fault. Her conduct was rude and unprofessional. I felt extremely uncomfortable and still paid full price for my Healing Waters experience. I will think hard before ever visiting again.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Pearl during my bungee fitness class ! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt inviting and luxurious, yet approachable. The classes are thoughtfully designed, and I loved how energizing and well-paced they were — I can already tell this is a place I’ll want to come back to again and again. Beyond the classes, the spa portion is calling my name! I’m so looking forward to returning to relax and truly unwind — the options there are endless. Every visit feels like a full self-care experience, and I can’t wait to explore more of what The Pearl has to offer. Highly recommend to anyone looking to combine fitness, wellness, and a little indulgence all in one spot.

Pearl Spa in Columbia, MD delivered a largely exceptional and restorative experience. From the outset, Chloe at the front desk demonstrated exemplary professionalism—courteous, attentive, and genuinely invested in guest comfort. Paul, in the heated water area, was equally diligent, ensuring cleanliness, hydration, and thoughtful touches throughout. Most notably, my massage therapist, Phyllis, was extraordinary. Her technique reflected a high level of clinical mastery and intuitive care; the incorporation of hot towels and her consistent check-ins created a deeply soothing, almost transcendent experience. Her work alone warrants a return visit. The sole drawback was the women’s locker room, which was untidy during peak hours, with overflowing trash and unreplenished towels despite staff being notified. While this detracted slightly, it did not overshadow the overall excellence—particularly the outstanding therapeutic care provided by Phyllis.

I had a massage with Dejah, and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! She was very attentive and I definitely walked out feeling relaxed! The lounge area and locker rooms were clean, the tea offered was really good, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. Would recommend!

I have been coming to The Pearl for the Healing Waters experiences for years. And it has been MORE than worth it. The staff has always been incredible and everything has always been clean and welcoming and incredibly wonderful. However, today- I received inexperienced my first treatment and it was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. Mayasa was incredible from welcoming to exit. She was receptive to what I had to say about what I wanted and needed and she absolutely acted on that in terms of my treatment. She was beyond incredible. I cannot recommend her enough. I haven’t had a massage in years and I have already booked one for next month because I feel so good moving forward. I can’t wait to keep coming back and keep getting better. The Pearl is the best place to come for personal wellness. 100%
