The Orchard Children's Centre

Both of my kids have gone to the OCC and we have been over the moon with the service, kindness, and mindset that reaches across all the staff. They create a safe, compassionate, and educational environment for the kids. We were previously with another daycare centre and the experience is night and day. My kids comes home happy, tell us about their day and all the exciting experiences they had, and they can’t wait to get back to class the next day and share stories about the evening with their teachers. The teachers have truly become more like family than care providers in my kids’ eyes. Bailey, Claire, Kennedy, Lori, and Catherine (the list goes on) have all been wonderful. The food is great, they support the kids’ individual potty training and nap journeys, and keep us well up to date on the app with multiple status updates and pictures throughout the day. Highly recommended!

My daughter went to the centre for three years, and I highly recommend it. Staff are caring, enthusiastic and fun. The space is beautiful and well-organized. We often walk by, and she talks about how she misses it. We appreciate the great memories and the close friends she still has today.

My daughter loved going there. Staff were great, taco Tuesday was her favorite day of the week and she was well cared for. I liked that the windows to the plaza were uncovered and playground was visible. I had no concerns but I do believe oversight and visibility are great ways to eliminate issues. It was also SOOOO convenient to run into the grocery store or bakery at pickup and there was always parking. These are handy factors in a busy family and with siblings often along. It was a great experience for my little one.

I cannot begin to tell you how highly we regard The Orchard Children's Centre. They became an integral and vital part of our family as we raised our two daughters until they could go to Kindergarten. Joan and the staff love the kids and take care of them like they were their own children. They are there to help your family and work with you on any issue that comes up with your little ones, and your kids will be happy, healthy, well fed and well adjusted for having been together with other kids their own age and caring adults in a fully inclusive environment. If we had another child, one of my very first stops would be the OCC to introduce the little one and book a spot for when we had to go back to work. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who asks - do not hesitate sending them to this daycare centre, they'll take care of your kids so very well.

The centre is just amazing. All the staff, the teachers everyone is so professional, loving and caring. My son will be going to JK this year. He was a big fan of Lori, Ginny & Catherine. He did have hard time adjusting when he started but all the staff made him extremely comfortable and welcoming. The activities, food and play is so much interesting for the kids. I would say giving them 5* is less, they are worth much more.
