The Grove Spa

Loved my experience with Kerrigan and Courtney at The Grove Spa! They made my first time there very relaxing and informative. I'm already looking to schedule my next facial!

I loved the atmosphere and they were burning one of their own candles and it smelled wonderful. I had my brows tinted and she did an awesome job. I will definitely go back!

I used to really like this med spa and recommend it to others. My original esthetician was wonderful, always made me feel comfortable, I trusted her recommendations, and she did not push products on me. My most recent visit was disappointing. My original esthetician had left and several I had been recommended to by friends were also no longer at The Grove (red flag?). The laser machine wasn't working properly and continued to run out of cryo. Several estheticians had to troubleshoot and reboot the machine causing the treatment to take much longer than the previous sessions. I was understanding and in no rush so what really frustrated me was being accused of leaving without paying for services after all that. The front of store staff didn't acknowledge me on my way out the door but called and left me a voicemail when I was barely 5 feet out the door, and despite having a laser package that I booked my session under! When I turned around and went back in, the staff made me feel awkward and I feel the whole thing was handled unprofessionally. Only after I got home did I get a text blaming their system. Fine, but that is not the client's fault. All of that to say: it seems like something has changed in the past year with The Grove, with focus shifting from caring for clients and providing treatments necessary to meet their goals... to pushing products and packages. I'm disappointed because the place is definitely alluring. It is clean, calm, and quiet, but the products are overpriced and the experience leaves something to be desired. I fully anticipate the owner replying to this review with her own rebuttal, as she appears to do with all negative reviews. It's quite unbecoming of a small business owner when you see the way she responds to clients who have had negative experiences, I wish I would've seen those before I booked services! For this review, I'd like to let her know she doesn't need to waste her time responding, as I won't be a returning client.

Lydia is always the absolute best! She does an incredible job on my brows every single time. I had to skip our last appointment so they were definitely overgrown and she had them shaped up efficiently. She is so great at bringing the confidence back in people.

So glad I found the Grove. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The clinic is clean. I have had my eyelashes curled twice now without complications. Regularly get my eye brows waxed. I always come out feeling refreshed. Highly recommended both Brookside and Mission farms location
