The Goddard School of Richmond

We LOVE The Goddard School of Richmond. The teachers and staff are exceptional and really get to know your children. It’s very clean and safe, and the school offers all kinds of additional activities/school events periodically throughout the year. My daughter comes home with so many fun crafts and new skills constantly. They communicate well and I can tell how comfortable and happy my daughter is there. The school really works with you and your family’s needs. They work hard to keep a caring environment. My daughter has been there since she was 3-4 months old and now is almost two! They bring us a lot of peace knowing she is in such good hands and getting such good care. Most importantly, I can tell how comfortable and happy my daughter is there. Everyone knows her name and she likes to go by all her old classrooms (infant 1 and infant 2) and the office to wave and give hugs on her way in and out. It’s great, loving, place!

I have three children, so we have been at many daycares across three states. Goddard is by far the best one. Two of my children have attended. They are so wonderful and thoughtful to the children and parents. They stay open as much as feasibly possible and go out of their way to make family feel seen and appreciated. Teacher here seems happy and are qualified to do the job (not just parents with little kids that decided to be babysitters in a daycare). They have a lot of planned activities for the kids and create real stable routines for the kids. My kids stopped crying at drop off and look forward to their time there.

We’re so thankful for the Goddard School of Richmond for caring for and teaching our girls. Our first started at 12 months old few years ago and our second began last year at 3 months old! It’s been such a joy seeing them experience comfort through their teachers, growth through the program/ curriculum, develop friendships with classmates, and community throughout the school and extended programs. Every daycare has the capacity to bring joy, but we have had our expectations exceeded in watching our girls thrive. The Fun Bus, tiny train rides, and even a visit from a tiny animal petting zoo have just been more fun cherries on top. Thankful for the consistency of the school, and its incredibly caring teachers (and staff!)

Every staff member—beginning with the owner and flowing through teachers, assistants, and support staff—creates a nurturing space where children are genuinely seen, valued, and embraced. What stands out most is how beautifully the school welcomes students from all walks of life. Diversity isn’t just acknowledged here—it is celebrated. Each child’s unique gifts, learning style, and background are honored with patience, compassion, and respect. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every student feels included, supported, and encouraged to grow. Our family has had such a wonderful experience at The Goddard School! My son, Brysen, is in Pre-K and absolutely loves going to school every day. He especially looks forward to his morning meetings — he talks about them all the time at home! The teachers and staff are caring, patient, and truly invested in the children’s growth. We’ve been so impressed with how much Brysen has learned, both academically and socially. The curriculum is engaging, and it’s clear that the school creates a fun, supportive environment that makes learning exciting. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and are so grateful for the positive impact The Goddard School has had on our son’s early education!
