Chris of South Edge Roofing was excellent to work with. He and his team did a fantastic job. With just a one day weather delay, South Edge met the exact installation schedule we wanted for our roof. His price was fair (I got four different bids), and the GAF materials were first rate. He met all our expectations and the color coordination with our brick home turned out perfect. It isn't often you get a contractor now-a-days that comes in on time and on budget with a premium product. We are happily satisfied with the work completed and the GAF materials used on this large home improvement job.

Let me start by stating that I have “some” experience with roof repairs and new roof installation. I worked one summer in roofing in Miami, and have had roofs repaired and replaced on various homes I’ve owned, both investment properties and owner-occupied properties. My son-in-Law is also a certified roofing contractor. As a result, I’ve seen some good work, some marginal work, and some excellent work. This project was a demonstration of excellent work. This was a greatly job from start to finish. Donna Bartell was our project manager for this job. She did an outstanding job during the quotation process, by staying in touch with us prior to the start of the job, insuring inspections and damage evaluations were completed and fully documented prior to the removal of the old roof for insurance purposes. She remained at the job site for most of the removal and returned during the installation. She has also followed up after installation to help coordinate the wind mitigation inspection and 4-point inspection required by the insurance company. She knows roofing and knows the GAF product line. She is an excellent project manager. The project was more than a simple roof replacement. Part of the scope included chimney removal and covering the “chimney hole” with new decking and shingles, removal of two off-ridge vents and replacing them with full ridge vents, and replacing the existing skylight aprons and domes. The entire project (28 squares) was completed in one day. The crew was on the job at 7:30 AM and only took one break. These guys worked together like a well-oiled machine. Each person knew their respective role and tasks and worked without needing to be told what to do or when to do it. The area around the house was fully tarped and protected. Cleanup was continuous and efficient. I have not found a single nail on the ground after the job. Gutters were cleaned and left without any damage. I’ve received all the warranty information on materials and workmanship from South Edge without having to chase anyone for that information. I find that a bit unusual when it comes to roofing contractors. I highly recommend South Edge Roofing & Construction and Donna Bartell for your roofing project.

We had a small repair needed on our shingle roof after a limb struck our house. Chris came out to assess the repair and quickly determined the exact color match for the replacement shingles. His crew returned a few days later and quickly got the job done. The roof looks great like the damage never even happened. These guys are busy and it took a few days to get it done but it was worth the wait. Thank you Chris!

From the very beginning, South Edge Roofing & Construction impressed my wife and I as we navigated the roofing industry. Our home is 100 years old with a separate guest house with attached garage. The scope of work was complicated and our insurance company was threatening to end coverage without a complete reroofing .Chris and Marina were professional, courteous and worked with us to make sure we had everything completed and to our satisfaction.
