Rose City Neighborhood Preschool

RCNP is such a special place! Teachers Emma and Laurie are fantastic. They are creative, warm, nurturing and engaging to say the very least! Emma and Laurie are both experts in the early childhood education field and, while teaching our children, they helped us become better parents. The co-op model is extremely special--it is so rare to be able to see how your child operates in a community, and RCNP allows you to do just that. The school has so many fun activities for kids--rotating dramatic play, seasonal playdough, fine motor activities, and a massive basement for bike riding and gross motor play. RCNP is so wonderful and supportive, and we feel so lucky to have found this little gem of a school!

Our family has loved this school for our child! Community focused and great social/emotional learning. Our child went from being nervous about large groups and new friends to having the tools to build relationships and the confidence to be herself as she navigates her world.

My son attended 2024-25 and will be continuing this year. We absolutely loved our experience overall and feel so fortunate to be part of the Rose City Neighborhood Preschool community. This school follows a co-op model and the parent participation component was so rewarding. All the families get to know each other and a solid sense of community is created. The teachers are so experienced and trustworthy. Preschool can be very pricey and this school is also very affordable. Please check them out, it’s a fabulous option for your family.

This school has absolutely changed our lives, and we will be grateful for the rest of our lives. Through RCNP, our kid has learned countless social and emotional skills, and has gotten the support he needs to be his best self. Our kid loves going to school, and when I pick him up, he tells me "I had so much fun I forgot to miss you!" I regularly hear him talking about things he learned at school, he talks constantly about the friends he's made, and he tells me that Teacher Laurie is the one of the kindest people he's ever met. I love the coop model because I get to be a part of my kid's learning, and because I get so much support as a parent. I feel like we're learning as much as our kid is! When a troubling behavior comes up with my kid, Laurie looks for what's going on underneath the behavior. When he gets better at something, she celebrates. I could go on and on, but the short story is that I learn more and more every day about the extent to which RCNP was the right choice for our family.

Can’t speak highly enough of RCNP!!! Play based cooperative preschool allows the child to be the driver of their learning and the adults guide and facilitate their growth. Teacher Emma and Teacher Laurie are an absolute dream who care so passionately about your child and family! A warm, welcoming, inclusive and safe space for children to explore, wonder, create, collaborate, and problem solve. And to top it off, the community support and connection is unmatched!
