Plunge House®

There’s definitely value in what they’re offering at Plunge House — I went 85 times before I cancelled my membership several months ago — but the inconsistency with little things eventually had me look elsewhere. Lockers not always working, the sauna not being up to temp, some of the cold and hot tubs being down for maintenance for weeks at a time, no soap in the showers, etc. Even some of the on-top amenities like the free tea were missing attention to detail, as the flavors changed all the time but they were never labeled. The recommended regimen was originally 20 minutes in the sauna and 18 minutes in the tubs. If you are paying top dollar for access to somewhere for an hour, maybe two, you should not be faced with having to solve these little issues as often as it seemed to happen. One of their values or “rules” for the club was encouraging members to disconnect and asking for phones to be left in lockers, but every other time I’d go for a session here it seems there’d another person trying to figure out how to make themselves look interesting sweating in a sauna or sitting in water for content. The music in both the sauna and on the plunge floor was closer to a workout class than what I feel most would be looking for out of an environment designed for recovery and relaxation. The last thing I’ll say is it seems like despite this being the flagship location, there seems to be more interest in expanding and franchising out this concept than getting the original location in perfect shape, which was another red flag for me. I’m not rooting against this place, and maybe they’ve made strides to be better since I left, but I’d recommend looking at SweatHouz or Sauna House for similar experiences with much more consistent results and better value before committing to a membership, especially when all 3 concepts will likely offer you a deal on your first trial session.

The Plunge House is on another level. From the moment you walk in, the space feels intentional, it's clean, modern, and calming. The staff walks you through each step, and you immediately know you’re in good hands. The contrast between the heat and cold is unlike anything I’ve experienced. After my first session, I walked out feeling clearer, lighter, and mentally sharper. You don’t just recover here, you reset. It’s easily become part of my weekly routine.

As a Charlotte local, I highly recommend The Plunge House! This is hands-down the best spot for hot and cold therapy. The facility is immaculate, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the individual pods make the whole experience private and intentional. Moving from the top-notch sauna to the invigorating cold plunge allows for the best body recovery and wellness there is! I always leave feeling mentally sharp, fully recovered, and energized. If you're serious about wellness, performance, or just feeling your best, The Plunge House is a must-try. A truly five-star experience!

Absolutely incredible experience at The Plunge House in Charlotte! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed, supported, and completely at ease. Everything is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully set up, which made the entire experience feel high-end and relaxing. The cold plunge and sauna setup is amazing, and you can feel the attention to detail everywhere you turn. In need of a little self care? This is your spot !! I had the pleasure of checking out this spot on a Saturday afternoon. The location is in a plaza that has a decent sized free parking lot! Free parking is always a plus! When you walk in you are greeted by the front desk staff. The desk also houses the complimentary drinks and snacks. Your experience starts in the locker room/bathroom area. The space is small but has a number of amenities: Steam Rock Sauna Towel Service Vitamin-C Showers Full Service Beauty Bar( includes dyson hair dryers) Hot Tea Bar Individualized Locker Swimsuit dryer Your cold/ hot plunge is scheduled for a specific time. As such, I would recommend arriving a little early to enjoy the extra amenities. The plunge area is an open space that is co- ed. The front of the area houses compression boots that you can sit and enjoy prior to jumping into your plunge. The plunge experience is something you have to do to fully appreciate it.Some benefits that have been noted are as follows: Boost energy levels Increase circulation Promote faster muscle recovery Reduce stress Following your plunge experience you can sit on the deck and continue to wind down. You can bring the complementary tea and/ or snacks as well as the compression boots to add to your deck experience. Overall- this was a 10/10 experience! I highly recommend!
