Penn Quarter KinderCare

This school has extremely poor administration and no oversight. Teachers wear earpods and talk on the phone throughout the day and chatting in the hallway not in the classroom watching the kids. I highly recommend they run drug test on teachers as well due to weed smoking before shifts. The classroom didn't have a schedule or routine, didn't have planned activities for the children, bulletin boards were outdated. A teacher was threaten to be physically assault in the lobby by another teacher. They were arguing in plainsight around children. I will not be surprised if that teacher will not be fired because schools need teachers not trained or professional ones. --------- I am now updating my review after several months later of reporting the violent incident amongst teachers that occurred in their I saw the teacher was still there working and not fired. I also went as far as reporting it to Corporate and they never got back to me. I see the Director is no longer working there so I cant attest to what has possibly improved since. He was recently employed when I was there in 2024 so also a red flag of poor teacher retention and poor admin retention in running just a 4 classroom school. Daycares are not just a business run on sales and colorful classrooms and well-decorated lobbies to draw families in. That was the only priority at this location though.

I appreciate the teachers who took on my son and the assistant director was the best ! I don’t agree with the center director she is very unprofessional, messy and very much not fit for that position. She fires people no put people she know in the building to spy and be messy . But there are some good teachers but the director very unprofessional, not engaging .

KinderCare Penn Quarter is an amazing school! My son attended the program for over a year and we saw so much growth in what he learned and his overall development. The staff, from the leadership to the teachers, are truly invested in the success of their students and its apparent in everything they do. From their daily lessons, to their outdoor activities on The Mall and field trips to the library, KinderCare does an amazing job of teaching students in a fun and engaging way. KinderCare Penn Quarter is truly a family and we were lucky to have been a part of it!

My kids are both graduates of this KC. We started in October 2021. The staff has been absolutely incredible. My husband and I have pretty demanding work schedules and KC remained reliable for our care always! I never had to think if my kids were taken care of - I have a special bond with these teachers! They were truly our family during our time spent here. Without hesitation, if you are a busy working parents, KC Penn Quarter has you covered! Truly a Godsend to us.

Our son started at Penn Quarter KinderCare this month and we have been so happy with our experience so far. As first time parents, we were super nervous about leaving our little one but the Penn Quarter KinderCare team made us feel right at home. The teachers in the Infant room are fabulous and send us tons of pictures throughout the day on the app. We can tell they really care about our little guy and we are so excited to watch him grow at Penn Quarter KinderCare.
