Merry Maids of Salt Lake City

I gave short notice they were able to come and they did an awesome job! My house hasn't been this clean since I moved in! Polite and friendly team members both in booking the appointment and who worked at my house. Deep clean was more expensive but totally worth the price! Would recommend!

I had my house cleaned by Merry Maids for the first time yesterday. I have had other house cleaners come to our home in the past several years that I’ve never been as impressed as I am with Merry Maids. Tatiana and Maritza completed a deep clean in our home from top to bottom. They did not miss one corner one baseboard, one mirror, etc.Our house sparkles. They were very thorough and did their work impeccably. I have requested to have them clean our home on a regular basis. I’m so happy I gave them a call. I highly recommend. Had almost our entire house cleaned from rework of wood floors. We had significant dust and dirt to clean. The two ladies worked very hard for 5 hours and did wonderful work. The office staff was able to get me a great crew in short notice and they showed up right on time.

I don’t usually spend much time doing reviews, but this is maddening and hopefully I’ll save someone from having the same experience… I paid for 2 cleaners, for 2 hours - 4 hours of cleaning total, for a rental move out. They require you to pay in full before they do the work. I questioned this and Kody assured me of their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. In the 4 hours, two very small bathrooms and a small kitchen were “completed”. Upon my inspection after they left, I was disgusted at the work done. I had to go thru and clean behind them. I sent 11 pictures to Kody proving the work was completely unacceptable (See pics) and requested some sort of refund. Following is the reply I received from Kody: “Hi Christina, I am sorry if everything wasn't completed. With hourly cleanings the team only works until the time booked is up. You could add more time if needed. However we do not do refunds on hourly service as the team can't always finish in the time booked. The team who cleaned for you is our top team and they are consistently given top scores and are requested by customers on a regular basis. If there were things not done then it would have been due to a time constraint. I will be happy to chat with you on the phone if you would like.” Funny… what happened to the promised 100% Satisfaction Guarantee? I replied that it was obvious from his response that I wouldn’t get anywhere and the $360 I paid or a portion of that wouldn’t be worth the time and energy I would spend talking with him. I understand we all have off days. Maybe this was one of those days for these two cleaners. I’ve worked in customer service for years and I’ve had plenty of my own. I will say the cleaners showed up on time and were very polite to my son, who was there upon their arrival. I would have been happy with Kody simply expressing a single genuine word acknowledging my frustration after seeing the photos. Any hint of decent customer service, but as you can see, there was none of that. They got my money and the happy, reassuring, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee selling Kody was nowhere to be found. Now it is very clear as to why they require payment prior to the work being completed, and make no mention of the, No Refunds policy… only sell you on the absolutely false, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy. I strongly discourage using this company.

I started services in May of 2020 I loved the services at first. After my normal scheduled person left the company I had various people come to my home. I reported the issues they had a supervisor come to my home and follow up. I continued to have concerns and issues with cleanliness after services. No dusting. My last clean was Nov 2020. I cancelled services after coming home to 2 bathrooms that had not been cleaned. They offered me again another team but I was fed up at this point! I was charged full price for the cleaning. When I asked about that today the response I got was well we didn’t charge you for the cancellation fee! Oh how nice of you! They gave out my garage code without my approval to several of their employees I also brought this up to the manager. I am very disappointed that a cleaning service would charge for a home that was not cleaned to Merry Maids what they call their “standards”
