I’ve been coming to J Salon for a while now, mostly for blowouts—but this time I came in for root color and sat down with a talented colorist who had a clear plan and the expertise to back it up. She took me somewhere I hadn’t explored before, color-wise, and I left feeling transformed. After several weeks, though, I realized the new look just wasn’t settling into me less a reflection of her work, which was genuinely excellent, and more about my own relationship with change. With a touch-up appointment already on the books, I found myself needing something sooner, so I came back and was seen by Ari. From the moment she sat down with me, what struck me most wasn’t just her skill it was her character. She started with a real consultation, asking the right questions to understand not just what I wanted to change but why. She didn’t just listen—she heard me. Then she walked me through her recommendation clearly and confidently, so I understood exactly what she was going to do and why it would work. And work it did. Ari neutralized the red and brassy tones that had been bothering me and replaced them with something softer, warmer, and more dimensional. The kind of color that moves with you and catches light in a way that feels effortless. She honored the integrity of the larger hair plan already in motion while making the color feel unmistakably like me again. That balance is harder to achieve than it sounds. But beyond the technical brilliance, what stays with me is not once did Ari undermine her coworkers work. She stepped in with grace, respected what had been built, and made it better. She’s the kind of professional who lifts people up her clients and her coworkers. That’s rare, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. I was blessed to get an appointment with Joanne. She is awesome, professional, authentic and sweet! I got a great hair cut but what I appreciated was that she took time to learn about my needs, discussed my life style and then took care of my hair issues. She gave expert advice, I learned a few things and enjoyed everything about the experience!

First off you know you will recieve a quality haircut from Phil’s barber shop. They always provide great service. The front desk has always been kind and polite and professional. They have all the quality products for men and women’s hair. I personally look forward to seeing JOY! How can you go wrong with a stylist named JOY. She makes you feel comfortable and provides 10/10 haircut fade! The owner cuts his clients hair next to Joy and in my opinion and from Joy he is an awesome guy! Humble and hard working. edona is amazing! i highly recommend her for anyone, but especially picky girls with long, thick hair like me who don’t let just anyone touch their hair- she gave me the best haircut of my life! & i’ve been to some of the best hairstylists. so thankful i finally found a talented haircutter i can trust she is also kind & makes you feel comfortable throughout. she even brought me an iced latte and cookies. if this review inspired you to book her, please tell them chelsea referred you. she cut and styled my hair beautifully. thank you edona :)

Melvin is the best. He listens, asks the right questions, and never rushes through anything. My color always looks fresh and natural, and he keeps the cut looking great even as it grows out. He is consistent every time which is rare to find. The salon is always calm and he makes the whole appointment feel easy. I trust him completely with my hair and I recommend him to anyone who wants someone who actually pays attention and cares about the result.
