Happy Beginnings Daycare

We transitioned our daughter to Happy Beginnings this past January after being at a home daycare, and we couldn't be more grateful for the change. The move was prompted by our desire for a daycare that was closer to home, and the process of finding a suitable place was becoming overwhelming. That’s when we discovered Happy Beginnings, and we are so glad we did! Carrie, the head supervisor, was an absolute gem from the very first phone call I made to Happy Beginnings. She was not only incredibly kind but also empathetic to our situation, which made all the difference. She was quick to respond to all of our questions and kept us updated every step of the way. It's rare to find such a supportive and responsive team - these days it feels like you are a number on a never ending list but Carrie actually cares and even when a spot was available Carrie made sure to not rush us, she sympathized that making a transition takes time to digest unlike other daycares that were putting huge pressure on us to make a decision by that afternoon. We’ve noticed such a positive difference in our daughter's development. The staff is professional, nurturing, and always goes the extra mile to make sure the children are happy and engaged. My favourite part of the day is seeing how happy my daughter is running around the playground and when we leave she is giving big hugs and waving to all her friends and the amazing staff. We also want to say a special thank you to Ms. Erin, Ms. Nancy Ms. Kelly and Ms. Kiera for their extra love and care. Each of these wonderful ladies has made our daughter feel so welcome, and it’s clear they all have a genuine passion for what they do. We are so thankful for all that you do!! Truly angels on this earth. If you're looking for a daycare that truly cares about your child's well-being and development, we highly recommend Happy Beginnings. Our family has had an incredible experience with Happy Beginnings Daycare. The care and attention provided to our child have been outstanding. The staff here truly go above and beyond to create a warm and nurturing environment. From the engaging activities to the personalized care, every aspect of our child's development has been supported with love and professionalism. The facility is clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed for children's needs. We are grateful for the positive impact Happy Beginnings has had on our child's growth and happiness. Our daughter attended Happy Beginnings for about 8 months in 2023, and we could not say better things about it! As a first time mom, and basically never leaving our daughter with anyone until she was about 2.5 years old (thanks to the pandemic), I was super nervous about her entering the world of child / daycares. However, luckily for us, Carrie was absolutely wonderful - extremely friendly, accommodating, patient and reassuring. Additionally the teachers (all of them really) in our daughter's class (preschool) were outstanding. From Day 1, our daughter bonded with Ms. Katie, in particular. She is so warm, gentle and friendly. Quickly after that, our daughter connected with Ms. Anna, who is also warm, fun and patient. Ms. Ashley, Ms. Kourtney and Ms. Sarah were also wonderful! They were all so sweet to our daughter. There was a great group of preschoolers in the class, and our daughter made several friends that she was excited to see each day and would talk about constantly at home. Happy Beginnings also did a fantastic job in the extracurricular department, in that they would arrange fun themed days like foam parties, mobile petting zoos, ice cream truck day and so on. The only reason we left was that we ended up having to move last minute from Burlington back to Toronto, or our daughter would have happily stayed there until JK. Our daughter (and us!) were very sad to have to leave, and 3 months later, she still asks and talks about Ms. Katie, Ms. Anna, Ms. Sarah and the friends she made. Our daughter recently started at a new preschool but still says she "misses her old school" and wants to go back. :-( She talks often about wanting to visit! You won't get the fancy bells and whistles of new, corporate daycare centres here, but you will get excellent quality of childcare (with VERY fair prices!), fantastic teachers and kids, great location, easy parking, great communication and memories that your little ones will cherish for life. Our daughter (and her parents) miss Happy Beginnings and wish everyone there the very best! Thank you for everything!

My son has been attending Happy Beginnings for 10 months and I have been beyond impressed with them! This is my 3rd child, so I'm no newbie to daycares! Tammy, Carrie and team welcomed my son with open arms and worked with me to ensure he had a smooth transition at the start. I always felt comfortable reaching out with questions or requesting updates on his day. I should also mention my son has a nut allergy and Carrie goes above an beyond to ensure all safety measures are met. It's a smaller centre which I love, the workers get to know all the kids, even those who aren't in their class. My son often talks about his teachers, friends and activities he does throughout the days. I would definitely recommend Happy Beginnings!

My children have been apart of the Happy Beginnings family for almost 20 years. My daughter first started there 19 years ago. She was shy and nervous but absolutely blossomed at the centre. She was so happy to go to daycare everyday and that is a huge relief for a working Mom. The staff loved her and treated her like she was one of their own. Now she is 21 and still talks about what a great time she had there. Ten and eleven years later my sons came along and without even a second thought I called to see if the centre had space for them. We were thrilled when they said yes. My oldest son is Autistic with ADHD and it was the staff that figured that out by working with him so closely. They suggested some tests and some strategies to help him develop while we were working with a therapist. The time and energy they put into caring for him and about him melted my heart. Both my boys thrived at the centre and they are so fortunate to have experienced the staff there. All my kids had a great time. The staff are so easy to talk to and have great ideas and follow up with any questions you have. I just can't say enough about the centre and staff. Always so organized and clean and thinking of new fun ideas to implement. I can't imagine anyone having a problem there and if they did it would be addressed right away if brought to their attention. To the person that wrote the negative review, I can't believe as a mother that you would leave your son there for 2 years if it was that terrible. I have dealt with Tammy for years and she has been nothing but supportive and kind and caring. She still checks in with me to see how my oldest son is progressing in school. Once you are a Happy Beginnings family you are always a Happy Beginnings family. I would highly recommend them to care for my kids. I trust and adore all the staff 100%.
