The Learning Castle Daycare

As I write this in August 2025, our family is wrapping up a beautiful chapter. We’ve been with The Learning Castle since August 2019, when our oldest son, River, was just four months old. This week, he’s starting first grade. Our youngest, Tristan, has his last day here tomorrow before heading off to “big boy school” next week. It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for this daycare. Finding The Learning Castle felt like a “God shot.” I had a list of daycares to tour, but TLC was my first stop—only three minutes from home. On that first visit, I met Emily, the Director, whose own baby was just six days apart from mine. We instantly connected, and I knew right away I didn’t need to look anywhere else. It was meant to be. Sending your newborn—especially your firstborn—to daycare is never easy. But the TLC staff made the transition so much smoother with daily updates, calls, and photos that helped me feel connected, even during long workdays. Over the years, they’ve celebrated milestones right alongside us: first solid foods, first steps, summer camps, learning to run, play, and share. They navigated the challenges of the pandemic with care and clear communication, and I always felt confident that my child was safe and loved. When our second son was born in September 2021, there was no question he’d be joining TLC, too. We’ve had the privilege of watching both boys grow, learn, and thrive here. Ms. Kierra’s Pre-K program prepared our oldest so well for kindergarten—he walked into “big boy school” confident and ready. Now, as we say goodbye after six wonderful years, I realize how deeply ingrained this place is in our daily life. The friendships, the teachers, the consistent care—they’ve all become part of our family. The Learning Castle has set such a high standard that it will be hard for any other school to match. Thanks to their nurturing environment, Tristan is leaving with the fundamentals of responsibility, structure, kindness, and a love of learning. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping raise our boys. We will miss you more than words can say. I hope this isn't "goodbye" forever!

I can not express how much respect and gratitude I have for this place! I have a huge gap between my babies and so I felt like a new mommy, the staff was beyond helpful and supportive. I don’t live in the area anymore and make the 45 min drive every morning just to have my baby at this daycare. The staff are constantly loving on my baby and treating her as their own. The owners are super friendly and always have a smile and a hello which speaks volumes! The way I feel safe that my baby is here and taken care of is worth the drive.

I toured The Learning Castle due to their reviews online. I could not believe the stark difference between the reviews and the reality. First, they were practicing unsafe sleep practices in the infant room. Babies with loose blankets over them in the crib and one baby was sleeping for over 15 minutes in a swing. At the very least I would expect a daycare to be up to date on safety standards. The whole place smelt like dirty diapers, to the point where I found it difficult to complete the tour. There were no paper towels to dry hands near a sink washing station next to the diaper changing area. A very small space. The infant room had about 3 feet sectioned off for them to “play,” but I don’t see how more than one plus a teacher can fit there. Overall, I was shocked and I think maybe they offer discounts or money for good reviews.

I can’t say enough good things about The Learning Castle! Every single staff member is incredibly friendly and they all make a point to know every single child whether they are in their class or not. I know when she’s there, she’s getting all of the best care while also learning and growing. The teachers work hand and hand with you in a true partnership so that we can further her development at home as well. If you’re looking for a place you can trust with your little one, this is where you want them!

We moved our daughter to The Learning Castle last summer after a rough experience at another daycare, and it’s been a total game changer. The entire staff is engaged and fosters relationships with all the kids throughout the center. They’re so intentional about helping each child grow, taking the time to understand what works best for them.
