Looking for a Donut Shop and found Five Daughters Bakery. Everything is beautiful and I would say these are more designer donuts and was just not my jam. I am not saying they were bad, they were just over the top. A lot of frosting and just a really fancy donut that had so much going on. I am basic and just need a regular donut. If you like Fancy Donuts this is definitely the Place and they are all beautifully made. They all tasted wonderful, but just over the top. One was so tall I couldn’t even take a bite, but the layers are interesting. The service was excellent.

Did I go overboard and buy way more donuts than I should have? Yes, yes I did. But it was so worth it, and I'll do it again the next time I'm in Nashville; hopefully I get to try seasonal flavours :) All the layers are so good!

Five Daughters is a cute little family owned bakery. And yes, the family has five adorable daughters (as seen on their website). I was actually visiting a vegan restaurant nearby when I spotted them and decided to check them out. I went in to ask if they had any vegan options and I was fully expecting them to say no. However, as the line moved and I got to the end of the case, lo and behold… two doughnuts were clearly labeled, “*made with vegan ingredients*”. I’m not sure why they use the asterisks. Maybe due to cross contamination and shared equipment with the nonvegan donuts. But that label was good enough for moi! The 2 vegan-friendly options were a yeast Apple Fritter and a “Purist”. The employee said that they typically have 3 vegan options, but I didn’t ask what the third one would have been. VEGAN APPLE FRITTER Flaky, sweet glaze, caramelized baked apples, and the greasy factor that all apple fritter fans love. It was good. If I had to rate, I’d say 7/10. VEGAN PURIST Think classic glazed yeast doughnut. Soft, sweet, melt in your mouth, old fashioned donut. 8/10 I grabbed these donuts close to 3pm. I believe bakers usually make their batches at like 4am-5am. So I wonder if the fresher versions of these doughnuts would have been an even better quality. The bakery served a variety of beverages. They had some seating around their window walls and outside. I may not know which way to spell donut, or why there are two ways to spell doughnut, but I do know that you should go check out Five Daughters Bakery and support small businesses.

Where do I start, more please. These donuts are deadly, I always go in with intention on getting one but the pictures don’t lie. If you get the chance especially if you are from out of town, it’s a must try. I know the price is a little more than most donuts, but it’s worth it. Also friendly staff, and a nice little store.

Such a cool and fun place! I had never been before but when I saw bacon on a donut I knew I had to try it out. I can't remember who helped me but he was very polite and patient while I took time to decide. The donuts were melt in your mouth soft with the perfect blend of sweet and savory. They also had a nice area outside with tables to sit and enjoy your donuts. I can't wait to try more!
