Downtown Portland KinderCare

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this daycare. The directors, Christina and Bailee, are absolutely incredible. They are so involved, friendly, and genuinely caring people. You can tell they truly love what they do, and that care trickles down into every classroom. My 1-year-old has been in both the infant room and the toddler room, and every single teacher has been amazing. Communication has always been great, anytime I needed anything, they were willing to work with me and be supportive. One small example that meant so much to me: they always made it a priority to make sure my son had a clean diaper right before pickup because we have a long commute home. That kind of thoughtfulness really shows how much they care. My son struggles with drop-off, and they consistently give him the extra love and comfort he needs until he’s calm. As a mom, that reassurance means everything. I have always felt that he was safe, loved, and truly cared for. I also love that for picture day, one of their own teachers takes the photos instead of using a big company like Lifetouch. The app is another huge plus I love getting updates and seeing photos of him having so much fun throughout the day. I unfortunately have to switch daycares due to a job change, and I honestly hate that I have to leave. It really sucks because this place has been such a blessing for our family. I can’t say enough how much these teachers truly care, and I will always be grateful for the love and support they’ve given my child. 💛

We’ve been so happy with our experience at KinderCare. I was nervous to start daycare, but the team quickly felt like family. Our son’s primary infant teacher is amazing — he absolutely adores her, and it’s clear how much she cares. The center director is fantastic, and the whole staff is warm, welcoming, and trustworthy. It’s been a wonderful addition to our “village”, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community!

Updating my review in May 2025. It’s been over a year since my last review and the new center director, Christina has been more than excellent, accommodating and diplomatic. A real example of what center directors should aspire to be. Same for our kids’ teachers. We are overall happy with our experience here and sad to be leaving. Original review from Nov 2023: We were really excited that we enrolled our two kids here. Unfortunately my toddler has been hit twice within the past 6 weeks at this center. This time around, his nose was hit hard that it bled.

We’ve been apart of the downtown KinderCare community for over 4 years. Our 1st child was in the infant room 4 years ago and now our 2nd child is attending. The teachers show so much love for our kids. Our second didn’t take to the bottle to well at first and the teachers were patient, gracious, and kind about it. As a parent, I felt reassured that my youngest was being well taken care of. Can’t recommend this daycare enough!

The staff, teachers, and support staff at downtown KinderCare have been amazing to work with. They have been great to our child who is always smiling when he sees his teachers and friends, and to us as well whenever we've had questions or need something.
