Felecia does an awesome job on my skin fade. My girls love going to her for their long thick hair. Then have my son an amazing fade! cannot recommend her enough!

I had my hair cut by Sheri yesterday and the experience was so bad that I’m leaving the only review I’ve ever left. I would be genuinely shocked if this was the first complaint made about Sheri. Sheri treated me like a human punching bag from the minute I arrived at Chop Tops until the minute I left. I bent over backwards to be nice to her for the entire duration of the appointment in hopes that she would stop being so rude, but no matter how friendly I was, she never let up. In the interest of full disclosure, I was between 5 and 10 minutes late to the appointment, which I take full responsibility for; I apologized to Sheri three times and told her that I was more than happy to skip the shampoo AND the blow-out, which more than made up for those 5-10 minutes. All three times I apologized, Sheri didn’t accept my apology and instead just stared at me in silence with a dirty look on her face. For the second time in a row that Sheri has cut my hair, not only was she unbelievably rude, but she cut my hair multiple inches shorter on one side than the other. When I politely pointed that out, she raised her voice at me and said, verbatim, in the nastiest tone humanly imaginable, “This is why you’re so hard to schedule.” (A little backstory on that comment: although I’ve never met Ashley, she gave a good friend of mine an adorable haircut a year or two ago, which is why I started coming to Chop Tops in the first place, and I recently scheduled a haircut with Ashley only to have her cancel the appointment later that same day and imply that there was something bad written about me in my file from the last time Sheri cut my hair. Sheri is apparently a real-life Regina George writing nasty things about her clients in their files like a burn book, and in my file she apparently made it look to everyone who works at Chop Tops like I was somehow the problem when in reality she’s just serially incapable of cutting hair symmetrically.) Although I shouldn’t have, I fruitlessly continued trying to be nice to her and told her multiple times that I was sorry if I’d done anything to be difficult, and once again, instead of accepting my apology, she stared at me in silence with a dirty look on her face. She said she left her last job because she’s “not a people person and didn’t like dealing with people.” If that’s the case, then this is the last field she should be in. It’s probably relevant to mention that I’m disabled with a brain disease so painful that it’s known as the “suicide disease,” for which I’ve now had 32 surgeries, which Sheri is aware of (this is also the reason I was late to the appointment), and she still bent over backwards to be as cruel as humanly possible to a disabled client who spent the entire appointment bending over backwards to be as KIND as humanly possible to her, despite the fact that haircuts are already excruciatingly physically painful to endure WITHOUT being treated like dirt on top of it. Despite all of this, I gave her a full 20% tip, and I hope she enjoys it because that’s the last money she’ll be making from me. UPDATE: owner responded saying I was “informed that I was blocked from booking” AND that I was informed of why. I was never informed at all, let alone of a reason why. I’ve never been anything but kind to your desk team AND stylists, so the “abuse” went the other direction. I’ve never argued with anyone there a single time except to clarify the truth in THIS paragraph. The man who answered the phone asked how long my hair was, I told him, he told me what it would cost, and I gladly accepted his answer. I arrived exactly 7 minutes past the appointment time, so claiming that I was 14 minutes late is wild. Saying that asking your stylist to fix a $72 haircut that’s multiple inches longer on one side than the other is “difficult behavior” is laughable. I thought maybe I was being paranoid about my “burn book” theory, but you just proved me right. Also, it’s all over the internet that you (you personally) kept working after testing positive for covid, so your opinion means less than nothing.

Chop Tops Westport just does not miss. Ashley has been my barber for the past year and I simply cannot go to anyone else at this point. My haircut has progressed through many stages and she has truly made it into her own masterpiece. I could not be more happy with it. The culture of this shop is independently creative with some of the best barbers and stylists around. Quality and satisfaction are the ultimate goals here even if it ends up taking a little extra time to make sure you have the perfect cut. No matter the occasion, Chop Tops will have you looking right.

I've been putting off finding a new stylist since I moved to KC this summer. I finally landed at Chop Tops and love my new cut & color! My only concern is that it's a little pricey. I could have gotten the same treatment at my old salon for $70 cheaper. I really am happy with the service.. just won't be able to go as often as I'd like to in the future.
