Have a pair of silk (twin) bed skirts that needed cleaning and chose prestige cleaners for this because I trust the quality of their service. They were returned clean, pressed and hung so they have no wrinkles! Very happy, thank you!

First time using Prestige cleaner’s and was very pleased when I dropped off my dress shirts as I had questions about pricing,turn time, amount of starch and what they did and didn’t do. She was very knowledgeable and friendly wish I had remembered to ask her name but she had long black hair and very sweet. Just picked up and dropped off more shirts with a different lady and was just as nice great customer service and love the drive thru

I’m writing to share a concern regarding a recent interaction with Charleston Prestige Cleaners in West Ashley. My wife and I needed clothing cleaned by the end of business on Thursday. After calling ahead, my wife spoke with a gentleman who told her that if the clothes were dropped off on Wednesday, they would be ready by Thursday. Based on that information, we decided to proceed—even though we live on James Island and had to make the drive to West Ashley during peak traffic hours. We left James Island at approximately 4:40 PM to allow extra time and provide some flexibility. When we arrived, the gentleman my wife had spoken with was no longer there. We explained the situation to the employee working at the counter and mentioned how pleased we were with the turnaround time we had been quoted. She then informed us that clothes dropped off at that time would not be ready until Monday—nearly six days later. She also stated that the clothes could be ready by Thursday, but only with a 30% upcharge. We declined the service and left. I want to be clear that I would not have minded paying an expedited service fee had that information been disclosed during the initial phone call. The issue was not the surcharge itself, but the lack of consistent and transparent communication, which resulted in an unnecessary trip and inconvenience. I hope this feedback is helpful, as clearer communication regarding turnaround times and expedited fees would greatly improve the customer experience

It is a good location for me and I haven’t looked at the shirt that I had cleaned, yet but it seemed to take a long time to get the shirt back. It was a full week. Luckily, I wasn’t in a rush. The price seemed right. I was told by a friend they have a drive thru but no one ever comes to the window when I drive up. I had to go in. A note on the window would be helpful if they aren’t going to come to the drive thru window. The staff was polite but not overly friendly. I’ll go back.

I do not recommend using Prestige Cleaners to clean your wedding dress. I took an heirloom wedding gown that my mother made in the 70s to be cleaned in hopes that my daughter might wear it in her wedding next year. I brought it in August 5. I was told it wouldn’t be ready until mid October which seemed like a long time but I understood they had many gowns to clean. The due date on the app said it would be ready October 17. The person at the counter told me that the cleaner (Jeanne, one of the owners) does a great job and would be sending me pictures throughout the process. There were never any pictures sent. On October 17 I called to see if my dress was ready because it did not indicate that it was finished on the app. The other owner, Jeanne’s husband said he would ask his wife, he then told me it is not ready yet. Jeanne wanted to soak it some more to get more yellow out. I waited another month without hearing anything or receiving any pictures. I went by the cleaners. The person working there said it still wasn’t ready but would call Jeanne and then call me back. I said to tell her that however much yellow she had gotten out of it by now would be fine. The dress to me was actually in pretty good shape when I dropped it off. Surely it at least looked better. I said just finish it up as it is, so I could get it back. I was told it would be ready the following week. I waited 2 weeks and went back in. I spoke with another person at the desk. She said it still wasn’t ready but that she would call me back after speaking to Jeanne. I never heard back. Finally last week I called and spoke to the male owner. He said let me give Jeanne a call. He then supposedly called her and he stated they were still giving it a soak and that they didn’t realize that there was a time limit. I told him that she absolutely knew there was a time limit because she herself had promised back weeks earlier. The he tried to gaslight me “well it’s not like we want to keep your dress” he said. I’m thinking, for all I know you’ve lost the dress. He then assured me it would be ready this week. Much to my surprise I check the app and it says my dress is ready for pickup. As soon as I saw it, it was clear to me that nothing had been done to the dress. It was never soaked multiple times, it was not cleaned at all. It was not pressed. It was switched to their hangers. That’s it. They did at least have the courtesy not to charge me for it. .. but they had my dress for 4 months. I could have shipped it off to be cleaned and gotten back in less time. I thought I was being safer keeping it local so that it wouldn’t get lost in shipping. I have attached pictures. The first one showing what it looked like when I took it in. Pretty good, slightly yellowed, a little wrinkly. It came back the same way, same wrinkles visible surface dirt . In one picture there is even a little gunk that I could scratch off with my fingernail. They lied about soaking it and resoaking, just to stall for more time. This dress was never cleaned. Horrible communication, they will promise to calm you back but they won’t
